Agree. Remember I said potential never said we should. Just to inform.

As a matter of fact, next year, when we're expected to have $30M in space, is when Brandon Carr's worst cap hit will be due to the restructure.

Funny how the front office...who negotiated the CBA...somehow maybe knew that the cap number in 2015 would increase to $150M+? And then restructured Carr's contract accordingly...

It's as if they actually know what they're doing with the contracts and the CBA.

I don't see witten getting released. He'll take a paycut to stay dude is a warrior and will retire a cowboy like Michael.

Or they'll just pay him because his cap figure (and everyone else's) has no effect whatsoever on us having $30M in space next summer.

Jerry and Stephen never get credit when credit due.

and as usual you are wrong. No one knows WHAT the cap will be year to year because NO ONE knows what the expenses will be.

I was just looking at the potential cap space for nest year.
Right now after the Ware cut we have and designate Miles we have right around 8.5 million according to over the cap.

Right now without signing any other players we have right around 29,665,427 million cap space in 2015 according to overthecap.com

http://overthecap.com/calculator/?Team=Cowboys

There was a reason why Dallas didn't restructure Witten and Carr I think they look at their salary and see where they can release next year and save money.

If we cut the following players next off season we add a lot of cap space.
Witten will save 3,276,000
Free will save 7 million
Carr will save 566,000
Orton will save 3,372,000

bring our cap savings next year to a total of $42,919,927 in cap space next off season with the above cuts.

in that list, I think free and orton are the best candidates. not sure if I am ready to get rid of witten. letting carr go doesn't make sense at that number.
