Why is it a rip off... they are rewarding the people who are paying the taxes for their new stadium... and really, the majority of the fans are going to be around the area any way...

I could understand that logic if it were limited to a certain geographic area of Texas or even Texas itself but how is selling tickets to someone from Oklahoma rewarding taxpayers?

It's not... but, the majority of the fans purchasing tickets are going to be from around the area... and they are more likely to purchase tickets to more than one game than fans from far away... so, basically, they are just freeing up phone space to sell more multiple game packages... this isn't a new practice... they have done this for a long time...
