Who is *****ing? People said they would prefer them play in the cold. That's it. No one is bashing anyone or *****ing so what are you talking about? Its December. Its not getting any warmer anytime soon. I feel if you practice in the cold it will benefit you when you play in the colder later in the season or hell even against the Chargers this week.
You were *****ing! You still are *****ing!

Wade has done this before for practices on Wednesday and the weather is a factor.

Wednesdays are the days they install the bulk of the gameplan. You need guys focused on the job at hand versus the weather.

Yeah, yeah, I know, they need to toughen up. But I'd rather they focus on the mental part of the upcoming game than the physical part.

totally agree, you want to get your timing down, routes, runs etc

most likley wade will have the team practice thursday or friday in the cold

he has to keep the team focused and ready to play in possibly bad weather up in dc that could be one of the very must games of the season we have to win to get to the playoffs, in cold bad weather

what you can do then, if you say win against the chargers, then the skins;

you can rest some players the last game of the season in the 2nd half, if your in the playoffs before we play the eagles

because you may just have to play the eagles in the playoffs in phily, now if it means the last game of the season, having the first home field in the wild card game, with nfc east division, you go all out to win, but if say eagles or giants already have that locked up, then you rest up players in 2nd half and get backups quality playing time

sure try to win, but get some rest what you can, because going of the wild card will be a tough road to go

and players will need some rest, but not to the extent of being ready to play in bad weather or in a hostile stadium and keeping the players focused and in condition

Nobody in this thread has ever played a down of football in their lives, apparently.

Do you guys have any idea how much it sucks to practice when it's cold? You aren't moving around like a game. It gets cold.

On top of that, cold weather = weakened immune systems = sick players...come on guys.

I did it every day. Practiced in the cold, that is. In the rain and sleet, temps hovering around freezing. Standing out there on the sideline watching seven on sevens, rotating in every few plays to keep warm, huddling around the other players, hopping and jumping around to try and keep the legs warm. One season I was sick for two months straight. The team pretty much just ate ibuprofen like they were vitamins each day before practice.

Bingo.

Plus, besides the obvious fact that we can play inside, it's supposed to be 65 on Sunday. So no use in practicing in the cold right now.

We need to beat SD...period. That is all they should be concerned with right now. They are indoors the next two weeks, so let's hope--like you said--they focus on getting the most effective reps possible to prepare for a key home game.

I'm so glad I was participating in 7-on-7s...I used to look over at the linemen, watching them either go through sled drills or simply watching 7-on-7s - you guys looked like you were sucking over there :D

Cowboys headed to Southlake
December, 9, 2009 Dec 9 11:06AM CT

By Tim MacMahon

IRVING, Texas -- For the second consecutive Wednesday, the Cowboys will board a bus and head off campus for practice. They'll practice in Southlake Carroll's indoor facility today.

There isn't any rain, sleet or snow at Valley Ranch. I reckon warm-blooded Wade Phillips just wants to get out of the cold, with the temperature at 30 degrees and the wind chill at 18. The wind is 16 mph, according to weather.com.

Phillips wants perfect conditions for Wednesday practices, because they're the most physical of the week.
