Good thing you weren't here for Aikman's rookie year.Ok so the starting QB has no effect on outcomes …

Not saying that. But a QB can only do so much when the entire team around them is bad. The Chiefs were 6-8 in games Patrick Mahomes started last year. Shouldn't he have elevated the roster? Or was he handcuffed by a bad team?
This isn't rocket science. Look at Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lion. How many games did he win back then? Because Matthew Stafford, LA Ram, has a Super Bowl ring.
Yeah you're right and I'm done arguing this. Presenting facts and common sense to some people in this forum is like screaming at the sky asking the moon to change color sometimes.Good thing you weren't here for Aikman's rookie year.
Aikman had elite physical tools. Howell is a guy who was a free agent and signed for 2 million dollars because he has no tools.Good thing you weren't here for Aikman's rookie year.
I think Howell has more upside than Rush tbh….Rush was very very mid, we had a lot of good play around him and on D which led to the wins he had, I think Howell might have a little more talent throwing the ball. Hopefully we don’t need him in the season.Like I said Howell = Rush = FG’s with the long distance kicker . You agree with him as # 2 I don’t it’s not “ rocket science “ .
As a first time starter on a really bad Commanders team, he threw for almost 4000 yds, had 21 TD passes despite getting sacked 65 times. By the way, ran for 5 TDs as well.Like I said Howell = Rush = FG’s with the long distance kicker . You agree with him as # 2 I don’t it’s not “ rocket science “ .
While Milton is in top half of sucking. As a first time starter on a really bad Commanders team, he threw for almost 4000 yds, had 21 TD passes despite getting sacked 65 times. By the way, ran for 5 TDs as well.
I get it. You don't like him. Every other team has 2 franchise QBs as backups and Dallas has to settle for Howell. But he probably is in the top half of backups.
He is here to be a backup. Hopes are he never has to play. But judging a QB based solely on his record on a bad team is pretty short sighted and unrealistic. There are barely enough quality QBs to go around as starters. The angst over a backup is crazy.Aikman had elite physical tools. Howell is a guy who was a free agent and signed for 2 million dollars because he has no tools.
I am surprised we let him go. He did clearly make some improvement in his game and the coaches commented on it during camp. They were pretty surprised that he was hanging neck and neck with Howell, but as well as Milton played in the first two preseason games there were also reports that Howell looked better in practices. And now there are stories that Milton asked for his release when he wasn't named the #2. If that is true then he definitely isn't coming back to our PS.While Milton is in top half of sucking.
Howell has a much better arm than Rush.Like I said Howell = Rush = FG’s with the long distance kicker . You agree with him as # 2 I don’t it’s not “ rocket science “ .

i suggested Cincy but ive since read they brought back the guy they had waived. Jets and miami are good ones too.I had mentioned the Jets . Or Miami

Int's are going to happen to a young QB on a bad team. They almost always are going to be pressing because they are losing. I don't think you would be asking either guy to win games....more that they don't lose games. Howell fits that bill better by all accounts. I would have been fine either way. I can see the benefits of either guy. It isn't like there are a bunch of better backups available out there. Levis was a high pick. No one seems too excited about him.You left out the interceptions but mentioned the TD’s . Let’s show some balance I understand your in favor with the move
That’s pretty good. Combined with the 43, it sounds like we got what we wanted. We probably tend to over value our own, but glad to see a lot of these guys still with the team.
Exactly. Dude has played 96 games in 7 years.I don't think work ethic has ever been mentioned as a problem for Steele. In fact, I'd venture to say he probably wouldn't have made it as far as he has in the league without a good one because he isn't a supremely talented player.
