I don't know. We were able to sign him to our practice squad after he was cut, so I don't think the demand for him is high. Of course, you could say that about the four I mentioned since they had to go through waivers. I just think at some point as rosters settle and injuries crop up, teams might decide they have room for a developmental player that caught their eye. I think they know what a player like Morris is at this point ... but, of course, that might be reason to grab him as he gets healthier.
I kind of agree what Bill Parcells once said, that essentially a UDFA and a late-round pick are a wash. So if a UDFA outshines a seventh-rounder like Anthony Smith, it's essentially one roll of the dice topping another. Same with Dunn and Toia. I think after the fourth round, you are ending up with practically the same quality of player in the draft as in UDFA, there's just more reason why teams spent a pick on the drafted player. In Smith vs. Brown, timed speed was clearly a factor. With Toia vs. Dunn, it may have been size relative to production since Dunn is around 290 and Toia was around 340.

I'm not sure you wanna risk your 4th round key getting taken by somebody else I'm sorry they had that decision to make be beforehand not after they make room for the other guys or bring them up every week on the 4 protect guys every week that could be one of them so there's other solutions besides risking losing one of your higher draft picks this year.
Yeah I agree with this Will Levis is a whole lot like Milton at least when we got Milton last year some situations similar play style he would fit.. I believe they should still pursue Milton until maybe he says no get a little extra times I think he'd be best both sides to come back to the practice but and further develop here...
They went and added another bigger nose tackle also somebody's gonna lose out of all those bodies that sacking up at the same position they're gonna be moved That practice squad is not remaining the same not a few days and not a couple weeks from now they'll keep churning at until they get what they really want Those are just face holders too many people at the same position will end up somebody's gonna be odd man out..
I don't think that's what you do that is not the concept or the process If it is then excuse me for being wrong but if it's my team you protect the poor guy most likely that you're calling up every week that will give emergency 3rd quarterback whoever that's gonna end up on the practice squad that's one You have to protect him but you protect an offensive lineman in this case not a developmental guy but a guy who's gonna be depth for game day You the best guy on that squad is who you protect and it's the same whoever they feel maybe you're bringing up C. Brown every week etc
Shelton isn't ready to play. Morris can actually play now. They got lucky to get him.
The one cool thing about this is that it is a good indication of who are the best players on each team and who you might focus on when a need arises for a trade, or the off chance they are not protected one week.
That has nothing to do with anything you still don't risk one when you can simply make Morris your 4 protected players on your practice squad and you can move them up every week and have other guys on the 53 inactive that's how it works It's easy to do both both can be true OK so let's move on from this it's good for the Cowboys they went out and got Jones then it went out and got Morris they've been doing a good job they got some depth now and hopefully it'll work out..
