They changed the rules a year or two ago. It's hard to keep track.I thought the limit was two seasons on the PS, I posted before that he wasn't eligible but I'm glad I'm wrong.

Disagree. Arkin was soft. Skipper the opposite of soft.Skipper is a waste of space. A taller David Arkin
He has been around the NFL since 2013. Not sure if eligible. What do you think about Cleary? I wonder if they try to sign him to the PS at some point or just keep him on speed dial in case of an injury.
Skipper is OT and OG. Looked best at RT to me.3 guards. No tackles. That concerns me.
He did.I thought Edwards has played some tackle.
Showers ran a 4.66 forty which is slower than Barry Church. He does have upside though, I thought he played well in the preseason games. In some years when they had limited depth and carried 5 safties he would have made the 53 IMO.
I'm surprised he cleared waivers honestly. I think the team didn't like his lack of position flex. He really didn't look very good at G during camp. I do think he's the safest option outside of Chaz Green if something would happen to Tyron for any length of time though. From that perspective the move is a little risky.
Starting? When?Great point, Green and Bell took a lot of reps at OG and could play there if (really) needed, if Cleary is limited to OT and roster spots are scarce, it explains the move.
Still, you would think a guy that played OK in a starting role would get claimed on waivers pretty quickly.
So far
We'll follow signings, rumors and other stories as they happen in this space. Here are the players known to join the Cowboys practice squad.
- TE Blake Jarwin
- DT Lewis Neal
- WR Brian Brown
- S Jameill Showers
But how much training do QBs put in on 40's?Showers ran a 4.66 forty which is slower than Barry Church.
Maybe he should bulk up to play LB.
You know 7th rounders stand less than a 5% chance of making the 53, right?Didn't even try to put Ivie on the PS. Another swing and miss from guru rod
Good point. But how much training do QBs put in on 40's?
Bell looked better at LT than Cleary.
Cleary did look good at RT.

A player could train for the 40, learn the proper techniques, but it usually won't make more than a tenth of a second difference. You can't teach speed. But how much training do QBs put in on 40's?
A 4.56 would put him more in line with many NFL Safeties than a 4.66.A player could train for the 40, learn the proper techniques, but it usually won't make more than a tenth of a second difference. You can't teach speed.

Emmett Cleary is Practice Squad eligible, but I don't think Dallas is looking to keep him around..
