Practice Squad

i just watched the replay of the broncos game..

i thought minter did enough to make the practice squad.

is he eligible?

Not right now.

Zach Minter was given an injury release.

Minter was paid an amount of money equal to the number of weeks it's expected to take for him to get healthy.

He is ineligible to sign with anyone during this time.

Once over, Minter can sign with anyone he wants, active roster or practice squad.

thank you very much sir.

Archer confirmed via Twitter that our PS so far looks like:

Kenneth Boatright
Keith Smith
Will Smith
Micah Pellerin
Ronald Patrick
Ryan Williams

That leaves 4 open spots as of right now. A WR or two will likely be added.
I think I ask this every year, but has a player ever come off our practice squad and actually been any good? I'm not sure why we fret over it so much.

Ron Leary and Dwayne Harris. Lance Dunbar could join that list.
Maybe I'm moving the goal post a bit, but I was thinking someone that was actually a long-term starter. Leary's a special case because of his injury issues. But really, is Dwayne Harris the ceiling for practice squad type players? I'll go back to surfing reddit, if so, and snooze through the practice squad threads.

Dwayne Harris

Oh, just saw he's been mentioned....nevermind

imo ..ryan williams and byrd should have made the 53.

Which offensive players do they replace?
Maybe Vaughn and the FB?

Anyway, if Williams gets to the PS, they gambled well there.

That's a good question. IDK. But we have had some contribute. Was Miles Austin ever on our PS?

If I remember correctly... Tony Romo started on the Practice Squad.

According to Broaddus, Mitchell wants to return closer to home in California. Probably headed for a stint with the Raiders.

Ahhhhhh, thanks. Tough one, I bet he contributes with some team down the road.

Wake Forest FB/DL Nikita Whitlock takes the 8th spot. Interesting player with position flexibility.
