Davon Coleman said he has tightness and swelling in his knee. Could he play Sunday if it was up to him? "Yeah. But it's up to [the team]."

That "A" gap will be tough to defend without the guys that are hurt and not practicing. Screw Graham, we may need to tighten up the line to stop the running game.

Isn't Ingram out, and no Sproles anymore. Who is their RB then anyway? Also their starting C is out. It may equal out in this case.

Khiry Robinson is going to eat us alive & Thomas is pretty consistent out of the backfield for catches. It hurts not having McClain for this game.

I believe its Thomas and if these guys are out, then we're looking at the same guys in preseason who got ran over by RB's who probably are on a PS somewhere.

Good point about their center being out. This is where we need our crowd to assist. I'd show some blitzes pre snap to add pressure to the center as well.

Yes, it will hurt, and no Melton either.
I forgot about Thomas.

I'm not worried about Robinson and Thomas.

I'm worried about Brees, Cooks, Graham and Colston.

Either way IMO the most important thing we need to prevent on defense is playing soft and allowing Brees to settle early.

if you cant stop the run game, you're going to end up having to defend 3rd and 3 all day. we saw what Davis was able to do to us last week under those circumstances, just imagine Brees. they could dink and dunk us to death down the field if we don't get them in 3rd and long.

Norm hitzges made a comment earlier this morning. I didn't catch all of it. But he said in the losses Falcons & Browns, put Brees under some pressure, and force them to play from behind, then force him into some mistakes.

And that the key is not to let the Saints have a big lead, because that is where Ryans defense is better, he can just do what ever he needs to do.
But make the defense play when they are behind, is where they are more vulnerable. Or something like that.

So in other words they're just like any team in the NFL

Khiry runs hard and looks for contact. I think with as much as Dalls will have to commit to defending the pass that he could be in for a solid game.

Yeah, people sleep on Robinson. He's capable of gashing the Cowboys.

I think we'll lose the game for the same reason we got abused last year. No pressure on the QB. You just can't allow Drew Brees to be comfortable in the pocket. This isn't Jake Locker or Austin Davis.

But this is a revenge game of sorts for the Cowboys. So I don't expect another drubbing. I think the Cowboys come out inspired but still lose by about 2 touchdowns. Say 31-17. Something like that.

What we're living in right now is what will end up being the high point of the 2014 season, IMO. 2-1. Hallucinations of contention. Good times.
