So in other words they're just like any team in the NFL
lol yea

And Brees has always struggled under pressure. Always. This is nothing new.

The key to beating the Saints for nearly the last decade has been to score 40 or simply run the ball and pressure Brees.

Norm hitzges made a comment earlier this morning. I didn't catch all of it. But he said in the losses Falcons & Browns, put Brees under some pressure, and force them to play from behind, then force him into some mistakes.

And that the key is not to let the Saints have a big lead, because that is where Ryans defense is better, he can just do what ever he needs to do.
But make the defense play when they are behind, is where they are more vulnerable. Or something like that.

I think Norm's really onto something with his 'don't let the other guys have a big lead' angle. I'd tweak it further to say 'don't let them have the lead, at all.' Then we'd be unstoppable.

Well there were a lot of guys running free in our secondary that the QBs have just flat missed the last two weeks, Brees won't miss, so I hope we tighten that up. Just promise me we won't show up with a bend but not break defense.

I think we'll lose the game for the same reason we got abused last year. No pressure on the QB. You just can't allow Drew Brees to be comfortable in the pocket. This isn't Jake Locker or Austin Davis.

But this is a revenge game of sorts for the Cowboys. So I don't expect another drubbing. I think the Cowboys come out inspired but still lose by about 2 touchdowns. Say 31-17. Something like that.

What we're living in right now is what will end up being the high point of the 2014 season, IMO. 2-1. Hallucinations of contention. Good times.

Sounds like you need a new hobby

this is not the gme that i will scream will tell us the season, but it is a game to see if we have made strides of competing with better teams and despite records, so far the saints are a better team. if the saints crcify us, ok shows Garrtet hasnt learned, if we are losers but competitive im happy. The Saints are going to test every aspect of our team.

Hallucinations of contention.

Please elaborate.

Contending for what?

Agree, man D majority of the time and sell out on the blitz seeing as there is no pass rush. Only real shot in this game.

I'd rather not rush them back and then suffer a season ending injury.

Yea it's not that hard to figure out. Players get cleared to play and return to action when they are ready not based on the next game opponent.

if you cant stop the run game, you're going to end up having to defend 3rd and 3 all day. we saw what Davis was able to do to us last week under those circumstances, just imagine Brees. they could dink and dunk us to death down the field if we don't get them in 3rd and long.

I think that is a main reason Mo was bench, they need more competition out there.

I have no idea what the big fuss is about scandrick being the starter. He already won that position last year and all through training camp. Mo only started because of Scandrick suspension, now he got a week of practice and a game under him he assumes his starting spot

I think Dallas might score more than 17, but also think the Saints will probably score more than 31 for the same reason you listed. No pressure on Brees makes for a long day on defense. ... Of course, the running game might take some of the air out of the ball.
