I'm becoming more and more impressed with Collins at RT. Kid looks like a stud
As the owner of the business, it is his objective to sell his product to his customers.....that"s me.......in a way that is satisfactory in an effort to produce repeat business. As his cuatomer I am expressing disatisfaction with his product. I am saying that this producr is not the quality product it used to be in the past.
Is that real enough?
Anyway, I could elaborate for a hundred pages without pausing to come up with Jerry Jones's flaws as an owner and GM of the Dallas Cowboys......and I will.....But not here.
I have decided to create a post in the rant zone in which I do nothing but compile the many ways in which Jerry Jones destroyed historic opportunity to build on the Cowboy legacy rather than poisen it with his selfish, narcistic, and disrespectful agenda.
One I never said we would play "more" man. I said I suspect it will still be the predominant pass D will play. Like each of the past three seasons. Sturm analyzes this every year and even last year, our predominant defense was man, not zone. Although, it seems we started playing more two deep safety later in the year.
I think people are assuming we are going to a zone team because apparently that's what Marinelli wants. But is that true?

Better day for Nolan Carroll overall after struggling in coverage on Wednesday. He was matched up with Dez Bryant during one-on-one right from the get-go and was up to the task. Bryant tried to take Carroll up the field, then worked hard to the inside. Carroll was ready for him and was able to undercut the route and knocked the ball away from Bryant with a fine play. Carroll lined up across from Bryant two other times in the period and was able to hold his own by denying him the ball on each of those opportunities.
I like BOTH of her facts
You don'the get to dictate what his objectives are and he has increased the value of his company 3000%.
For all of your complaints, you remain a repeat customer and it is not all about you.
All I see is someone that needs to let go what happened 20+years ago. It has no bearing on today.
Uhh... okay.
That's a fair question. I'm not sure if I've heard him directly express that sentiment. However, they have expressed an interest in getting more turnovers and zone coverage has a higher probability of yielding that result. The Cowboys place an emphasis on stopping the run and preventing the big play which is easier to accomplish in zone. Furthermore, it has been discussed ad nauseum that Claiborne and Carr were acquired specifically for the 3-4 defense, where man coverage for the outside corners is predominantly used. Finally, the rookies all have zone coverage aptitude on their college resume. So rather there exist a direct quote from Marinelli or this is pure conjecture, I'd say it is a safe assumption we will eventually see a shift towards zone if it is effective. Marinelli will not repeatedly try something that's not working, so we will see.One I never said we would play "more" man. I said I suspect it will still be the predominant pass D will play.
