What makes you think he doesnt have good preperation or work habbits?

I live outside clev and constantly listen to local sports media. Manziel is a daily topic of conversation with local and national invited media

Several of them have referenced his college coaches questioning his work ethic and commitment , as recently as today they mentioned his team is not happy with how be is preparing for his pro-day

The guy has marginal measurables and all he has is his intangibles, add in poor work habits and the media spotlight of being in Dallas and the situation could get combustible

I so feel that drafting him would mean closing the book on romo and I am not ready to do that

The only benefit to Manziel falling there is HOPEFULLY someone with sense tries to trade back so someone can move up to take him...I don't want him anywhere near this team...record-setting defensive ineptitude and Manziel is our choice over the needs across the board? No, just no (not a shot at the OP, I understand what you are saying, just voicing my opinion)

Well alot of players stop listening to their college coaches and start listening to their personal trainers when coming to the draft. This has been an ongoing topic for yrs.

i know, just seems like alot of college coaches take offense when these players listen to their personal trainers when getting ready for the combine and prodays.

Johnny Football is the perfect player for the marketing of JJ. Thats why i think Jerry trades up to get him.

The dead money Jerry takes by getting rid of Romo would be recouped in about 3 days of Johnny Football merchandise. Drafting him is not gonna cost Jerry money on his bottom line.

Why not trade up with Cleveland, Cowboys give up Ware, Williams, Escobar plus 16 & 2015 first day pick for #3 overall and Jordan. Cleveland improves already potent D and takes dynamic QB (Manziel or Carr) with 16. Cowboys get 2 headed TE offense & whichever pass rusher drops to 3 (Clowney or Mack) and draft a WR with 2nd or 3rd pick.
