Pre-game thread

ESPN analysts are saying that Romo needs to not hold onto the ball as much and stop trying to constantly make the super hero play in order to stay healthy.

They used Tom Brady as a comparison of a aging QB that gets rid of the ball quick but Garrett doesn't use a lot of those quick passes in his offense.

The sports guys up here have shown the Brady stats for the past two years and its crazy how many is his passes travel 7 or less yards in the air. IIRC the percentage was somewhere in the high 80s. In the super bowl win over Seattle I think they said he completed only 2 passes that went over 7 yards from the los in the air.
Garrett could learn something.

Yeah this is the game where we usually accuse the other team of game planning while we didn't. Excusing the butt kicking.

It's not the Chargers at least. When I think preseason I think of Rivers marching down the field opening drive.

Gruden saying we will keep Prescott in the pocket....I would be surprised if there weren't some rollouts, waggle type and bootlegs.

Doesn't matter what the design is. The question is whether he bails when his first read isn't there, under pressure that may or may not be imagined.

Anyone know why Prescott starting over Showers?

Probably because we have a draft pick invested in him. Showers might end up better in the long run, but for now you are going to give the guy you have invested more in the first chance.

No McClain..neither one if you were wondering which

No church no durant no tapper

in practice it looked like they were running some read option.

also Kristie just said it feels like a cowboys home game.

That's what I keep saying about a lot of these college guys like Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes that are getting hyped right now.

Except it's BS because it's really just a case by case basis. Would you not pick Cam Newton because he runs?

I'm just curious because I thought Showers was supposed to be ahead of him on the depth chart. I hope this means that Dak has shown more.

It would really be nice to know Dak has progressed a lot, and would ease many of minds.
