I think we win one more game to the delight of the "tank the rest of the season" crowd and the dismay of those who thinking taking breeds a losers mentality. The offense under Cassell is inept, and I have little faith that the defense can sustain a high-level of play for an entire game after being on the field for an extended time.
I hope I am wrong and that we run the table and make an unlikely Super Bowl run with a healthy Romo who miraculously shows no signs of an extended layoff. That strikes me as a bit of a pipe dream, though, based on what I have observed this season.

I believe you've nailed it. My thoughts exactly. I'm hoping for a high draft pick to get a good QB to groom with our 1st pick. I think we're long overdue to do so.

Not so fast, Rick -- I think Paxton Lynch has what it takes to become an elite QB in the ranks of the NFL. Needless to say, he'll be obliged to prove as much, just like anyone else.

You are right he is real good but far from Elite and the Cowboys will never get him to many teams in the mix for the top ten picks !

2 games back of both the Eagles and Skins............possibly 2 games back of the Giants as well if they win Monday night........3 games left.
As Jimmy Johnson said today, "stick a fork in em, they are done"
And even though the 'tank for pick" crowd was crucified last week, they indeed turn out to be correct. If we would have lost to the Skins last week, we would have the #2 pick in the draft, however because of that win we are currently sitting at pick #6
So was the win over the Skins worth dropping from #2 to #6 since we have virtually no shot at the playoffs now?

No more wins. 4-12, which is what it should be. 12-4 last year to 4-12 this year. Garrett, if nothing else, is a .500 coach.
However - no playoffs in 2016 = new coach in 2017.
