Has anyone played around with this:

You can pick the winners of each game over the next 3 weeks and see which team ends up where. It's kinda fun.

Here's how the eternal optimist in me sees it shaking out:

I've got the Commanders winning the division and the 4th seed. Atlanta 1, Green Bay 2, San Francisco 3, Seattle 5, Chicago 6.

Yes. i was on there last night creating all the different scenarios. We'll know a whole lot after Sundays games. I think we're going to see a few unexpected losses. Hopefully not from the Cowboys of course...

*edit* not sure if losing to Pitt is unexpected - probably is not

I hope that ends up being the case. I can't even look beyond Pittsburg right now. Would love to get another shot at the Seahawks.

I don't even believe my own scenario. You're right. There will be a few curve balls.

That seems to be how things go every year. Even teams who are mathematically out of the playoffs are not sure wins. You have teams out there with nothing to lose and guys fighting to keep their jobs.

If it was the case it seems fitting or us to get a shot at the team that sort of set us in an early season funk

I agree, flipping a coin would be more scientific right now.

Winning the division and eliminating the Commanders in the finale would be epic.

It wouldn't top beating the Eagles twice in 2009 for me but I'm sure for most Cowboys fans it would.

And talked smack after the game. I believe it was Earl Thomas who said they knew we wouldn't fight back if we got hit in the mouth early.

It would for me, that year we had 11 wins and showed signs of competency throughout the season, this year, well lets just say the playoffs would be a huge surprise.

Going to have to be 10-6 to get In. Thats going to be a tough task!. Not sure who's going to be in first round. One of these 4 teams will win the SB. Ranked in power order and more likely to win sb. Imo
1-patriots
2-broncos
3-giants
4-packers

i would love nothing more than to face that loud mouth seahawks team at home.

I don't know, this would be pretty big. I feel like this year has been one dramatic cluster.

In order to get in, we'd have to win out and have either NYG, CHI, or SEA lose 2 out of their last 3, right?

I say that we take it one week at a time, and just worry about ourselves. At the end of the day, if we win out, we have a lot better chance. If we lose one, we're done.

to these people saying we have to win out....no we don't.

Our chances are very much alive at 9-7 if we beat the Commanders.

But thats beside the fact, we aren't making the playoffs, too many injuries

No, there are lots of scenarios that don't require us to win out.

I wouldn't be excited to play Seattle there but at home I like our chances.
