When the Boys get everybody back and healthy I believe they will be long gone from playoffs. But will look damn good and be a team nobody wants any part off in the post season had they made it.

I am with you 100%. We might ruin the season for a team like the Jets or Bills late in the year but as far as playoffs go, I just can't see the team staying alive til everyone is back and hitting on all cylinders.

We'll split the next 4, leaving us at 4-5. We'll lose 2 games with Romo, putting us at 9-7.

I truly hope 9-7 can get us into the playoffs. This team is capable of wreaking havoc in the playoffs if healthy.

If we manage to make the playoffs, anything less than an NFC Championship game appearance would be a big disappointment.

With what we saw of the new 3 lineman formation, I think the return of Gregory will make the Dallas defensive line one that will be tough to deal with for the next four opponents...the Eagles o-line is pretty bad, the Seattle o-line is suspect...the Giants o-line is average and Winston is still a rookie. Those four games will be more about a Cassel "jump start" than anything. If they can't go .500 over the next four with Cassel, then the postseason is likely unreachable.

New York suddenly becomes a must win, if for no other reason than being able to secure a tiebreaker advantage (effectively an extra win) over the team that I see as most likely to challenge Dallas by the end of the season...Manning, say what you will about him, is better than Collins and Bradford...he has staying power and if Pierre-Paul returns, they will be stout on the d-line.

Cassell is only going to help if Dez isn't noticeably hobbled or has at least 90 percent of his leaping ability when he gets back.

Furthermore, we need that run game to be consistent and to do that we can't just run on 1st down every time. We need to mix it up and then get some play action in there hopefully to help throw off the running game.

In saying this, I think NYG is a toss up but we lose there also. Seattle @ home is much more winnable than on the road but we lose here also because their defense can smother our running game as is with the current QB play. Furthermore, their QB can make a play if that's what it's going to come down to.

Philly at home and Tampa on the road I truly think we can take as Cassell has a couple games under his belt with the offense, we figure out what we can and want to do in the running game and we do not sustain anymore critical injuries. In fact, our defense has all the key non season ending injured players back with the total unit having a couple games together under their belt also.

4-5 or 5-4 depending on what happens against NYG.

^ This and we have to do it on the road not knowing how crisp Dez will be and how the offense responds to Cassel

4-5 and we go 6-1 with Romo

I'll take that but do you really think Romo is going to be able to come out guns blazing like that right away to only lose 1 out of 7?

Without taking to many shots to his current injury it should get better as the weeks go on but that is also a heavy expectation.

2-7 or 3-6

I think the defense will be just fine, but we won't be able to score enough points.

We won't be able to hold onto the ball long enough to keep the defense fine. We're not very beefy down the middle as it is and can wear down.

That's my worry.

...Or if he [Bryant] will indeed be back by then. I am not inclined to think he will, but it certainly would help, even if he's only used as a decoy.

Any defense will wear down when your offense can't score points.

Yeah we may not be real beefy up front, but I'd rather have a quicker, more explosive, more athletic front that can get penetration and generate a pass rush. With McClain back he gives us a lot of beef in our linebacker core.

I think we're 3-6 when he gets back with our only win being against Tampa.

So, he comes back and wins out or we're in trouble. It ain't fair, but this season ain't fair.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I think it's too optimistic to assume just because we have Romo back, we win the last 5 out of 6 games.

That's what I got as well...We split 2-2.....Get to 4-5......then we walk a tightrope for the rest of the year.

The defense only played for 59 snaps, which only serves to emphasize just how bad Dallas lost the battle of field position, third down efficiency and turnovers (despite having 72 snaps). Yes, the Dallas offense was that stinking bad. When the differential favors the offense, Dallas has won more times than it has lost with Romo under center.

No I don't think he will come out guns blazing but we have a pretty favorable schedule when he returns. I think he'll be a huge morale booster and he will manage the game for a week or two. After thanksgiving , I expect him to be red HOT.

Cassel can play so I'll say they at least go 2-2. They should beat TB and I think they can win one of NYG or PHI.

so 4-5, and with a little luck maybe 5-4. I don't think NYG or PHI are world beaters.
