Predict The Season

That time of the year has come again where those of us that proclaim to be all knowing predict how many wins we're going to see in the upcoming year. Feel free to toss your name in the fire. Come one come all.

Based upon my predictions below, our record will be 7-9. We will enter the bye week at 5-5 and finish up on a weak note. Have to revise my 8-8/9-7 down this year. Nothing to this point gives me the level of confidence that says we will sniff any hint of playoffs this year. Hoping we make a splash in the draft and keep Johnny F in Texas.

Haven't really thought much about our record this season but after looking at the schedule I can see us getting to 9-7. I am really only looking for improvement on defense and consistency in our run game this year. I was scratching my head at the OP's prediction of losing to Houston and beating Indy but then I figured I've seen stranger things with this bunch.

Going to be a rough season. But on the bright side, we'll finally be in a position where we have no choice but to have a complete overhaul.

10-6 Always have hope this time of the year.
I think we improve our DLine before the start which will improve
the secondary at the same time. 8-8 with the worst D in team history last year.

My two extra wins come against The 9ers to open and Colts in December. We open well and should be healthy vs SF, I think Romo pulls it out. The other win that most people are showing as a
loss is vs the Colts. Home game that they will have to win, and they will.
Im still not sold on the Colts.

Hope for now, plenty of time for reality as it unfolds next fall.

7-9 (we lose to 49ers, Saints, Seahawks, Giants, Eagles, Skins, Bears, Cards, Colts). Almost went to 6-10, but I think we beat the Rams.

4 very good DLs (SF, STL, HOU, SEA) in the first 6 weeks is not a good thing for an aging QB with back issues. I agree with those that think this year will lead to an overhaul. It's hard for me to see more than 5 wins. I hope I'm way wrong, but that schedule right now looks absolutely brutal.

For the most part, I agree with your assessment, including splitting within the division.
And as we all know there will always be some surprise wins and losses.

But I look at the Cardinals and Texans at home as potential wins that could literally make or break our season.

So we could be 8-8 or even 9-7. That's if the draft, UDFA, hamstring, back, knee, and game-management fairies all light upon us and give us strength.

My heart says 1-4, but mymind says 6-10 at best.

The defensive line was the worst in NFL history, and there have been no improvements thus far. Even if they spend half of their picks on defensive linemen in he draft, I can't see how you can count on rookies to be the savior of the DL. There is no depth to the OL either, one injury could doom the OL. The safety play was horrid, and they are still counting on Heath to be a player.

I marked us down as 3-3 in the division, wont even bother trying to sort which ones are the wins or not. Tennesee and Jacksonville are the two teams the're clearly better than so thats 5 wins. Between San Fran and Seattle I almost guarantee they'll win one that they have no business winning, thats 6. And I reckon they'll take two of Indy/AZ/Houston/NO. Sorry folks but it looks like another 8-8 season.

Pay attention to the Cardinals, Colts, Texans, and Saints games. These are the 4 they'll be in position to win but will end up winning two because of Garrett or another individual blowing the game. See: Detroit, Denver, GB, Philadelphia games from this past year. Especially pay attention to the Colts and Texans, those are the losses where posters here will say "its no big deal cause they're in the AFC" and then when we're in a do or die week 17 game they are nowhere to be found.
