Okay, it's almost 11:30 AM Eastern time and I'm feeling a bit tipsy. Yeah! Yeah! I work nights, so this is my evening, and my sciatic is killing me. So I've been drinking a little bit of Capt'n Morgan and Coke to help ease the pain.
As of the past several days, err nights I mean ... (during work), I have been listening to ESPN Radio (out of Chicago) to catch up on the latest NFL news. Unfortunately, they talk more baseball than anything. Especially about the Cubbies and Whitesox being they are from Chi-Town. Ick! Baseball is about as boring as golf if you ask me. Especially since my Texas Strangers still suck. ((Go Josh Hamilton!))
Lately, since I've been barely picking up a staticky ESPN Radio here in western PA, I have been listening to Scott Van Pelt and "All Night" with Jason somebody or another (somebody correct me) and getting little to nothing on the upcoming game regarding the Packer's and Cowboy's upcoming game.
C'mon now, this game is probably the biggest 3rd week ticket in the NFL being that the 2-0 Packers are Favre-less, and now manned by "Boy Wonder" himself, Mr. Aaron Rodgers, who is according to some media members, the MVP after only two games. And those Packer games consisted of two mediocre teams, Tavaris and the Vikings, and of course the Detriot Lions. And let's not forget the Dallas Cowboy's, who beat the 2008 offseason champs, Cleveland (considered most improved by majority of the media) and staved off a fiesty, and better than expected Eagle's team to start out 2-0 in this 2008 season.
The big Sunday Night on NBC game is being played at legendary Lambeau Field. Tony Romo, T.O., and the Boys are knockin' at the front door, while John Madden is sneaking in the back door looking for chicken wings and pulled pork sandwiches.
Getting to the question at hand, if the Packers win, regardless of how ugly or pretty, Aaron Rodgers is the new "Feel Good" story. Am I right? And if the Packers lose to Dallas at Lambeau Field, then the Cowboys are a lock to win it all. Correct?
So far, from what I've been hearing on ESPN Radio (Chicago), the Cowboys are all over the place. Some predict a December swoon once again, others predict the Cowboys as the favorites to win it all after two games vs. Cleveland and Philadelphia. (One game at a time is what I say!)
What say you? Does the media have a field day with a Cowboy's loss? Or a field day in crowning Mr. Rodgers the next best thing since swiss cheese if the Packers win in whatever fashion? .... sorry, sliced bread sounded kinda silly considering Green Bay is all about cutting the cheese!
