The draft begins 8 EST. The draft last year ended around 11:30 pm. Teams get a full 10 minutes to decide their fate. For all of those out there that can only catch the Cowboys' pick due to various circumstances, I'm going to say we will select no earlier than 9:15, but no later than 9:45 pm.

I think there is roughly an 80% chance we move down to acquire additional picks while still getting our man.

On a side note: Mayock is probably wrong, but man, wouldn't that be something to see Manziel holding up a Cowboys home jersey? Personally, Donald or Barr would be just fine with me.

I would like to see Dallas trade down with Cleveland and then pick up Kony Ealy.

kinda hard to say w/o disclaimers. if the ones we want are gone, we'll likely trade down and try again. but the one thing i will be crap-happy about is when JFF is drafted as a NON cowboy and his name stops showing up in here on a minute by minute basis.

If JFF slips out of the top 4 expect Jerry to freak out and go get him. We have traded with the raiders before so i expect jj to work another deal and get his jersey selling star for his 3 ring circus known as the Dallas Cowboys.

That would be great. Sign Johnny mademoiselle and tie up half the team's salary in one position. Makes a lot of sense to me.

we are not picking Manziel. He is going to Cleveland at 26.

Our targets are Barr, Donald, Martin.

If Donald, Zack Martin, Barr are gone by the time we pick we will trade down and select either Hegamin or Jernigan.

We probably pick the highest rated DE on the board in the second round.

Dallas will draft a RB in the 4th or 5th.

Dallas will pick a WR in the 4th or 5th.

dallas will probably pick a LB in the 3rd.

we will be picking DEs, DTs, Safties, CBs in the 6th or 7th round.

I've been saying it now for a while so I will go ahead and stick to my guns: Dallas with a slight trade up to get Aaron Donald. Just enough to ensure we get our guy.

I say we actually pick at 16. I think they try to trade back, but it'll be too tough to get value in a trade down this year.

If Manzel or any other QB drops to 16, and if it's a guy who was rated in the top ten on your own board, maybe a trade down is cool if you clean up, but why trade down for peanuts? We have 11 draft picks. If we took Manzel or another top guy at 16, I wouldn't be upset at all. The draft is about building a team for the future, not the coming year. Not even a QB at 16 gets paid enough that you have to play him before he is your legitimate starter.

That said, I don't see Manzel or Bortles available at 16. Donald will be gone, so that leaves Anthony Barr, who I think would be a great draft pick, but a guy who would have a disappointing rookie year. If Barr is also gone, I'm fine with taking another stud WR.

You either turn your first pick into additional later, lower echelon players or you take an impact, high rated player regardless of position. Again, the first round isn't the entire draft....just get a stud or get more picks.

75% chance they trade later and acquire picks
20% chance they trade up to get their guy
5% chance they stay put and draft a guy

100% chance this is a crazy night

Don't think we'll see a trade up unless JJ decides to part with a 3rd rounder to jump to #10 to acquire Barr or Donald.

100% chance us Cowboys fans will need some sort of alcohol.

100* rum and vodka in the house w/ornage juice and (4) 24 oz cans of 8.1% beer.

also got my favorite salsa, totinos wafter thin chips, bean dip and an 8 pack of chicken with trail mix and mustard potato salad.

oh, and a 6 pack of 24 oz water for tomorrows rehydration.

Question is whether we'll be drinking to celebrate or cope with the pain.
