Let's trade up and get Mike Evans. I just saw him interviewed and not only was he wearing tennis shoes with his suit, but when he talks he sounds just like Elvis. Gotta have him.

We will use next year's 2nd rd pick to move up for Barr.

Then we will trade our 3rd and a couple of 7th rd picks to go up for Shazier or Ward.

Two picks tonight.

IF Manziel falls to 16, we'll trade down and get more picks.

Also, I bet Manziel becomes a Jacksonville Jaguar with the 3rd overall pick, unless Houston does a block buster deal(could happen).
I don't see how he'll fall out of the top 5 though with Houston, Rams, Jaguars, Browns, and the Raiders, literally all those teams are looking for a QB.

1. Donald
2. Barr*
3. Trade Down w/ CLE -- Shazier

That's what I think. Also the * is that this is what I believe is the most likely scenario. Lots of talk that we could possibly still move down and get Barr in the 20s -- heard today that he's slid since the combine and that he's rated in the late 1st to 2nd on most boards.

I can't really think of a single reason why the Jags wouldn't take Johnny Manziel. He would put them on the map and get them some national TV appearances. I mean, right now the Jags are kind of looked at as a AAA football team.

I expect some sort of trade, just have no idea if it will be up or down.

I heard a stat that Jerry has moved up 20 of 26 times, pretty telling if true.

If Donald is gone, I'm rooting for a trade back with CLE.

Our first-16 and second-47 for their first-26, second-35 and third-71

We would have 26, 35, 71 and 78. DL, DE, OG and WR or LB in any order.

The draft begins 8 EST. The draft last year ended around 11:30 pm. Teams get a full 10 minutes to decide their fate. For all of those out there that can only catch the Cowboys' pick due to various circumstances, I'm going to say we will select no earlier than 9:15, but no later than 9:45 pm.

I think there is roughly an 80% chance we move down to acquire additional picks while still getting our man.

On a side note: Mayock is probably wrong, but man, wouldn't that be something to see Manziel holding up a Cowboys home jersey? Personally, Donald or Barr would be just fine with me.

We won't be selecting at 9:15 or 9:45 because the draft time is 10 minutes per team in the 1st round this year.

In the moment, I wanted to trade down, but I could tell from those faces in the draft room, that it wasn't going to happen. I was impressed that despite the disappointment of not getting a good trade offer, they stayed put, relied on the research, and now have great pieces of a strong offensive line. Martin has a very high ceiling as a Guard.

Johnny Manziel is just a few hours away from becoming a Dallas Cowboy. I don't want anyone cursing my name when it happens. My popcorn is ready.
I bet your popcorn is stale by now, unless you choked on it or sent the bowl flying across the room when ol' jerrah gave the approval for the selection of Martin. JF is a head case who's career will be a colossal failure just as all the other QB's who have been selected by the Browns. Cleveland doesn't have a good track record of selecting QB's in the 1st round.

I bet anything confidently that you will be wrong. Anything. Yesterday's round 1 will be remembered as the day we failed to properly/proactively address a questionable QB position.
