There are plenty of reasons to be excited about next year, but we're getting to that period where many of us are becoming eternal optimists.

Guys like Roy, Felix, Austin, Jenkins, and Spencer are primed for breakout years.

But which player do you think will let us down the most next year?

My guess - WR Roy Williams. A lifelong underachiever, pressure has never been this high on the Texas native. The physical tools are there, but I think his time in Detroit has really slowed his progress as a player.

Ray Sherman is one of my favorite coaches on the staff, and the guy is apparently 'coachable' - but last year left a really bitter taste in my mouth. I would love to be proven wrong though.

So what do you guys think?

Could you imagine if I started this thread?

Flozell Adams. I fear this will be the year he shows he is done.

Manuel Johnson. Sadly, he won't make the quantum leap of 7th round pick to perennial Pro Bowler. :(

But the good news is this will be our only "disappointing" player as we coast to a 19-0 season.

Sheeesh.. That's child's play. If I started this thread you would have to bring in the fire extinguishers...

I'll play along though. As much as I hear all of the stat mongers, optimists, and supporters of RW11, I still feel that he lacks the basic desire to reach the highest height. I think he's a good ol boy that's content with the fact that his talent has propelled him to the greatest stage. We all know it still takes work if you are to really make an impact on this level. (rings rings rings... 13 yrs & counting) I would love to see him blow up next year and become the #1 option for Romo while establishing a real bond between the two of them. I'm hesitant to believe the hype until I see it on the field in game during live competition. Hopeful but watchful with a keen eye...

That crow will sure taste lovely if he proves to be the impact player that we all hope he can be in Big D.

Barbie Carpenter (as usual) on defense and Miles Austin on offense. RW11 is not a career underachiever.

Roy Williams gets my vote. I hope I'm wrong about him, but at this point, and until I see otherwise, he is the one who gets my vote.

How can a player like Carpenter "disappoint" if there shouldn't be any expectations from him whatsoever? I don't see how anyone can expect anything other than more of the same from him. If not, you are really an over the top optimist and should only blame yourself if he lets you down.

RW11 is not a career underachiever.

One thousand yard season in five for the seventh pick in the draft isn't underachieving?

I still read posts that claim he hasn't gotten a chance and that he will win the nickel lb role.

Barber. He will simply be outshined by Choice and Felix... we won't notice his absence much during the season, but after the season when we see him with under 800 yards, we'll be disappointed.

romo, sure he might not have owens there to clash with. but thats not gonna keep him from trying to make plays where there isnt one to be made.

Flozelll ... plays one of the top 5 positions in the NFL, and his career path is on a steep downward projectory.

And Plebians will blame Romo for it.
