Don't forget the Giants. They've ruined our season 3 times now. We ended their minuscule hopes despite the OBJ show.

Poetic justice would be Romo beating Seattle, avenging the bobbled snap on our way to a Super Bowl victory against the Steelers to tie with 6 Lombardis a piece.

thats exactly what is going to happen!!!!! i believe it , feel it, trust it.

Yup. Matty "Ice" has lost playoff games 24-2 and 48-21. Not to mention he just had a 34-3 home loss with two pick sixes in a win or go home game.

First round pick

A first round pick who by the way has lost first round playoff games with TWO 14-2 teams. He should be giving Tony a part of his salary just for the cover he provides.

This is a good thread because for younger fans here - you have no idea what nervous will be until the NFC Championship game. That's a whole other level - even more so than the Super Bowl because if you get to it you're playing with house money. The Championship games for me over the years have always been the worst gut wrenching experiences I've ever had as a fan.

You're damn right.

I remember just being sickeningly nervous before those 90s NFCC games against the 49ers.

.... There's another stat about Romo being 1-3 in the playoffs, and if he gets to 1-4, apparently it will be the worst winning % by any QB in the post season in NFL history..
You don't actually believe that, do you?

Next time some doofus spits out a dumb stat like that, make them prove it.
Without even blinking, I can think of several QBs that have (I mean ,whose team has) a worse record when starting in the playoffs.

No offense, just pointing this out so it doesn't grow legs like so many other lies. You help stop it.

Exactly. One needs to learn how to enjoy that pregame anxiety, turn it into a positive. I always equate the time leading up these types of games like the days before Christmas when I was young. Yes, Christmas morning and opening presents was great, but I ultimately recognized that it was the time leading up to Christmas, the anticipation, that was every bit as good as the day itself. And in recognizing that, I made sure I did not let one second of those pre-Christmas days go by without taking it all in. That's how I treat these games - am a little nervous? You bet. But it's the nervousness you get when the roller coaster pulls out of the station, not the kind you get before a final exam. It's all good, baby! Enjoy this time, as a Cowboys fan, you've earned it.

and think about how you want to remember the times you spent watching the Cowboys. far better to have memories of enjoyment than anger or stress...

I recall Roger Staubach getting jitters before that first NFC Championship game of those 90s Cowboys and he told Troy before the national anthem and Troy had said it made him nervous afterwards.

I remember that. To this day when I watch the highlights of that game and Roger is there I still get a little rush of excitement.

I've been through all the emotions this week.

Right now I'm feeling confident.

Gonna be a good day tomorrow.

Wish I could be there.

In retrospect, I shouldn't have, but when I saw it I was like, "Frickin' really?!?! Holy something or other."

Again, as I mentioned earlier, I should have considered the source. They will run with some garbage, at least for a little while, just to push something they're trying to sell.

We need to get this one under our belts and I feel like they can roll the rest of the way. They'll probably have some nerves going into it but I hope they can get a fast start and just keep their foot on the gas the rest of the way.

I've had them since Monday. Every time I think of the game, the butterflies in my stomach start doing an air show.

Ugh. I wish Sunday would hurry the hell up.

They'll be worse tomorrow at kickoff.

Can't sleep. Still too sick to go party with my friends. Only did half my gig bc I only have half my voice. So now staring at the ceiling. I've got to try to sleep now. Maybe take some Advil or sliver of Unisom....if I were a player, no way could I sleep. And Garrett... What's he thinking about? I bet Jerry is drunk. I would be if I hadn't had gig. Tomorrow lots of beer awaits me. Maybe I should try counting beer to drift off....

I'm at work and will be for the next 9 hours or so. Once I get home, I NEED to sleep before the game, but there is just no chance of that. I'll more than likely just wait until after and then find I can't sleep then either due to extreme sadness/extreme happiness depending on the outcome.

Im taking applications on whos going to console me. Whether we win or lose, I am going to be a wreck, especially if it comes down to the final seconds.

I feel a lot better after looking through the Lions schedule. They haven't beat an upper echelon team since September, and that was the Packers before they really got started. Also, I like that they are 4-4 on the road; hopefully they don't know we are 4-4 at home. :)
