Well you're good at research, I respect that. You said there's many more quarterbacks with better stats in their first four years.... well show me the players that did this in their first 4 seasons..... I'll wait....
I posted those numbers for the people who say Dak sucks, Dak is a tier 4 bum, etc.... im just trying to figure out how a 4 tier bum who suck can accomplish this in such a short time. You're intelligent, maybe you can help me understand why no other 4 tier bums that sucks have been able to put these numbers up in 100 years of football.
Unless you’re arguing rushing touchdowns are superior to passing TDs, which would be a very odd argument, I’ll get you some QBs with more total TDs than Dak in their first 4 years (I’m also assuming you’re counting playoffs too, because Dak failed to reach 100 passing TDs his first 4 years otherwise).
Total TD (with your “including playoffs” asterisk):
Herbert 70 with 2 years remaining
Murray: 90 TDs before playing 4th season
Dak: 125 total TDs
Watson: 126 total TDs (in 3.5 seasons)
Russell Wilson: 136 TDs
Pat Mahomes: 141 TDs (in 3 seasons)
Marino: 147 total TDs
Josh Allen: 149 total TDs
And then you have semantics of 4 years of since drafted vs first 4 years of playing QB, as Rodgers, Rivers, Brady, Romo, were all backups for years before putting up stats.
Dak has had a statistically impressive start to his career, but not quite one of the best ever in terms of touchdowns, especially when you consider how that changes per era and how it’ll change going forward. The total TDs he’s put up have become the norm for a pro bowl caliber QB who started day one and has avoided major injuries
