This is why people fretting over the title "highest QB paid ever!!!" is dumb. That is obselete in a year. The QB contracts will only get bigger.
Derek Carr just signed an extension worth 121.5 million for 3 years which will drop Dak down another spot to #7.

In addition to receiving a no-trade clause in his contract, Prescott also received a no-tag clause.and one of the biggest blunders was and is signing the baby dak to the no-trade clause. wow just wow, defend to the end. I support dak he just sucks and isn't winning crap. he's brett hundley without a team to carry him. no difference except brett can run.
In addition to receiving a no-trade clause in his contract, Prescott also received a no-tag clause.
This means that when his contract expires with the Cowboys, they will be unable to place a franchise tag on him, meaning they need to give him a new deal, or he will hit the open free-agent market
hit the market dak garrett. how'd that work out? "usfl piss bucket boy."
he's no different than Jason Garrett. he's here until somebody finally realizes he just ain't going to get this done. ala Jason Garrett same guy different job.So what I'm saying is that Dak has to improve or he is gone, and even Jerry isn't that stupid to give an underachieving QB a new blockbuster cap crusher deal, if Dak's game does not transcend, he is gone after this contract.
All those thinking we can somehow collect on a bad investment through a trade just doesn't have any understanding of the contract terms.
Will be an interesting moment when Daks' term expires.he's no different than Jason Garrett. he's here until somebody finally realizes he just ain't going to get this done. ala Jason Garrett same guy different job.
in about 5 or 6 more years some fans will wake up and see the light. or maybe not.

Thanks. And yearly average is what I was going by.Carr's extension is higher if you go by yearly average. But he actually has to play. His extension doesn't start until 2023. They could cut after this season and only have a 5 million dead cap. Without having played a single down of his extension.
His 2023 salary is guaranteed in Feb. Of 2023. His guaranteed money is nonexistent compared to the other quarterbacks.
What we might consider a bad investment and what our dysfunctional ownership might consider a bad investment could be two completely different things. So what Im saying is that Dak has to improve or he is gone, and even Jerry isnt that stupid to give an underachieving QB a new blockbuster cap crusher deal, if Daks game does not transcend, he is gone after this contract.

They'll just hop on the new flavor of the week. Will be an interesting moment when Daks' term expires.
Will the slobberers bail on the Cowboys and follow Dak to his new team?
The next CBA needs a QB exemption to the cap. Tony Dungy suggested it years ago saying this would get out of hand and I agree.
This is simply what QB's cost now if you want to keep them. Good/Great/Elite, doesn't matter. This is what a QB demands and if they're even decent enough to be a starter someone will pay it.
I always thought that everyone on the roster made a fair percentage, but it was performance based.I like Jerrys suggestion. They need to make a rule that no one player can take more than 10% of the cap or something to that affect. You would think most players would agree as it would leave more money for the most players.
Thanks. And yearly average is what I was going by.
This is the second most ignorant post you've made. Guess what the first one is?
What a deal! Lmao......

Tell me you didn't read the entire conversation before you responded without telling me you didn't read the entire conversation before you responded. Why do you even bother wasting your time talking to fools? These trolls have no idea about QB play or the dynamics of it. They think QB's magically win games or lose games all on their own.
Heck these are the same guys that claimed Dak was backup material after his ROY season where he beat out Zeke for the award. 13-3 where the team won 11 games in a row.
I think the pass blocking was above average although the experts say #1 but the run blocking and penalties were abysmal
