There is no solace for Cowboys fans in other teams’ quarterback troubles. It does not make it sensible to sign Dak Prescott for another four years. That it was for an unprecedented amount is beside the point. It is proving to be a poor decision.we have milton..![]()
You know other teams try this and you know how hard it is how long the Jets the Steelers the Browns the Giants I mean you know how many years like a decade that they've been trying to find a really good starter some are so desperate they sign a guy like Daniel Jones to a big contract and let go of Barkley how smart was that but that's because quarterbacks are hard to replace they're hard to find you can plan all you want and it's still not going to work you got to hope to get lucky..
I believe that's what they were hoping with Trey Lance and they were hoping with Milton that sometimes they get a guy we might get lucky that he turns into a solid player...
I mean it's crazy when you look at Daniel Jones numbers compared to Trevor Lawrence you remember what was said about Trevor Lawrence his What was it his freshman year junior and colleagues how he was generational the next Peyton Manning they were mad because the league wouldn't let him join early they made him play one year in college I believe he played two but he was nowhere near as good his 2nd year but his numbers are almost identical over the same amount of time I can't remember where I saw the stat I think it was over a six year Or it might have been a four year Way they were almost identical in every way that's what you're getting now everyone in college telling you how great a player is gonna be and then they're not...
They've tried everything you can think of teams have tried a bunch of first rounders they've tried to wait and get a second or third rounder the Cowboys happen to get lucky with the 4th rounder brock Purdy Tom Brady late rounders they just flat out got lucky that's what you have to do sure you should keep getting guys and I think that's what they're trying they may be looking in the wrong place but that is looking for the next guy..
In the meantime other teams are making do going out and getting guys like Winston and Wilson and trading for guys like Pickett and moving other guys around but look at with Anthony Richardson and they keep hoping for over in Indianapolis that's another team been looking for a while they were dumb enough to trade all those picks of the Eagles yeah you can thank them for bailing out Howie Roseman with Carson Wentz that was just terrible but that is what the market is quarterbacks are not easy to replace they're not easy to find....
Have other teams using guys like Jacoby Brissett and other middle road type of guys and Kirk Cousins is another one that's being moved around as he's getting older that's what's going to end up happening when Prescott leaves we got to hope somebody works out but we can end up in quarterback carousel hell...
And the Colts have not had a better season than the one with Wentz since they gave up on him. They fired their head coach from the Wentz season. And will likely be firing their current one if he has no sustained success this season. Guess who their starting quarterback will probably be game one. As big a mess as Indy is, they did not saddle themselves with a quarterback who’s contract is so huge they can’t move on from it…even if he were to give them permission to trade him.
