Next year, Prescott will look like the 2nd half of 2018. With Fred beard back and hopefully a stronger Williams our OL will be back to a dominant unit. If the new OC can add some match up planning and game adjustments this offense can be in the top 10.

Maybe, but then Dak adjusted to teams adjusting.

We'll find out how much he worked on his game in the off-season come August/September. He definitely has some things to work on. I believe he'll come in improved, but the first few games might not show it because of the possibility of a new offensive system to get used to (not just him getting used to it, but everyone on the offense).

2016: 3rd in passing, 2nd in rushing
2017: 17th in passing, 2nd in rushing
2018: 26th in passing, 27th in rushing (13th in rushing in DYAR, the counting stat)

Zack Martin was at about 50% for most of the season also. In the two previous years he was dominant,this year he was average while playing through injuries.

The first half of this season, Dak was playing with mostly a sub par receiving corps. Looking forward to a full season with Amari Cooper, an emerging Michael Gallup, and perhaps a new FA, and maybe a new young TE.

that's too simple.

a slightly better question is, "can he play better?"

yes, of course.

even better is, "what most needs improvement?"

that should lead to a discussion of dak's:

speed in decision making
throwing behind receivers on short routes and overthrowing them on deep routes
taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away or stepping up and running (see: speed in decision making, above)
fumbling (see: sacks, above)

this is not a discussion about stats, but skills.

Basically what we're getting out of Dak is 66% completion, one or two touchdowns, and one turnover per game, whether that be by interception or fumble.
