There is a fine line between prestige and respect, it is prestigious to be a United States Congressman but very few people truly respect you. Many people will respect you if you are a New York City Firefighter but prestige, that doesn't come with it.
Which do you value more, would you prefer people to genuinely respect you or to admire your achievement of attaining a high level of prestige?
