Pride goes before destruction

He has actually hurt the offense this year IMO.
Yes he had some plays of the Witten of old, but he also should not have been on the field when Jarwin should have been. Which actually hurt the team.

This is another Jerry / Jason emotional friends, sell merchandise ploy, maybe, maybe not. But I think he was partly a progress stopper. Unless Jarwin and Schultz learned from his work ethic which is the one thing he still probably has.
AGREE TOTALLY. He should have never returned to the Cowboys. He hasn't been good in 3 years.

The Dallas Cowboys fans are seeing this play out before their eyes with the franchise.
So the latest: FIRE THE COACH is now Jason Garrett. Before was Dave Campo, then Chan Gailey
followed by Wade Phillips and the site are now The Clapper.
Not saying keep Garrett because the evidence Garrett is a 8-8 type coach.

Answer me this:
Steelers are now down to their 3rd string QB, lost their starting RB and WR and have the same record as Dallas.
Saints lose their starting QB, don't have Mark Engram and just one good WR. Lost their entire left side of OL and have one of the best records in the NFL.
Patriots have no WRs to talk about other than a good slot guy. Average RB at best and no name guys on the defense other than CB Gilmore and have just one loss.

Meanwhile, in Dallas, if just 1-2 starters are out, chaos/concern grips Cowboys fans. Imagine if Dallas lost Dak, Zeke and Cooper. The Cowboys would be like the Bengals because this franchise lacks coaching. Hence, Garrett is going to be the sacrificially lamb......again. I say again, because the blame will fall on the coaching and not the really problem----the GM.

We live in a time where it is not your responsibility but someone elses. People want the gov't to take care of them because they can't. When a team loses, many times it is either the coaches or the refs fault. Locally, areas are losing referees because of the blame them mindset, not any number of other plays where the players screwed up. The players can make errors but sure hell not the referee.

So now, the Dallas screw--NEW COACH--NEW COACH (or new puppet, new puppet) and again, eventually, a new puppet will be walking the Dallas sideline and fans will be temporarily fan again, only to keep living in NeverNeverLand to the fact it is the owner that sets the culture.

Dallas fans hear it quite often, when they leave Dallas how the drama is so much less. It is more about football and not about being a celebrity. Jerry is a business guy and is selling a product, the Dallas Cowboys. He wants stars so to put butts into his expensive seats and get his team on TV as much as possible. Jerry even said it himself that if he was the GM of the NY Yankees., the owner would have fired him long ago for under performing but there Jerry still sits as the Cowboys GM. As smart of a business man Jerry is, he really is a stupid owner because he will not change. If it was working, fine but is has not for 25 years and the puppets will change, the results will not.

Dallas will not see a Superbowl until Jerry joins Al Davis.........period.
Yep, the Cowboys have an extremely top heavy roster with top draft picks, top dollar stars at numerous positions. This makes the quality of their depth very thin and that will inevitably show up big on special teams.

This has been emblematic of a Jerry Jones team since he owned the team. Unfortunately, the salary cap has made it much more difficult to win when you have an unimaginative roster plan.

I don't see a culture change coming down the pike and just changing the HC won't solve most of the problems with this team.

Dallas' championship blueprint is to draft the guy with the high sparq score and hope he pans out.

Other teams are successful because they draft players that fit their scheme, their ideology, their playing style. So their players fit together like clogs in a clock. One piece goes down the next piece fits in perfectly.

We are tops here on EXCUSES!
Yep, today is Garrett's head and yesterday it was Linehan etc...
Great Post.....

P.S. Most here are either afraid of reality or change. To their excuse they just might be under 30 years of age and have never experienced Cowboy Pride!

we always overdraft and the next man up mentality never materializes.

Scary thing is as bad as this team has been they still control their own destiny....

It's different
I'm telling you, Jerry has realized he's running out of seasons. He's got to bring legit coach in.
He may not fire Garrett because he will run out of contract For a new coach, the higher pick, the better.

I've been saying this for 10 years maybe longer there's no discipline on this team the coaches may not be that bad but they don't know how to instill discipline that's for sure in the previous ones that you mentioned we're worthless in that category, the whole country club atmosphere and here is the big word and this is what needs to change I beat this horse to death with this term :

CULTURE !!! It's flawed and needs to change or else nothing else will change there has to be fear in the coaches that they will be replaced there has to be fear in the players that they will be replaced and I've said for years other teams do it when they've lost significant people next man up is ready to play they actually change game plans suited to that personnel and other teams actually game plan for each individual team instead of running the same damn thing over and over

JERRY JONES is the main reason for this culture and will be the one that needs to change if the culture is going to change I have about as much confidence in that is us going to the Super Bowl and winning it this year

I am actually afraid that we may not win another game let alone make the playoffs

I mean here's the way you beat the Dallas Cowboys even if they throw their best shot at you don't worry they will eventually fold they don't know how to play 60 Minutes of football

or most of the time not even 30 minutes

I believe the actual saying is pride comes before the fall but I like destruction to you can actually say implosion LOL not funny if you're a fan but you can't help but laugh at it keep yourself from going insane

we are in control of NOTHING. We have shown that time and time again all year. We are a ship without a Captain. Don't care about destiny because it means nothing without leadership and planning. STARTS AT THE TOP.

It still comes down to a crap HC. Garrett should’ve never been hired. There’s a good team here that can win with better coaching. Gameday management is horrible and is killing this team. No confidence, no grit, no balls and flat out stupid on top of all that. Jerry is a problem but I’m still amazed that some fans put no value at all on experienced coaching. Garrett sucks. He’s proven it over and over.
