I think it could be argued Murray was easily more productive than Ingram in college, even if you want to drop off a year from Murray. The numbers speak for themselves.

As to how they'll do in the pros? I think they're two entirely different backs. I haven't rechecked the Saints RB depth, but I'm assuming Ingram is going to get a lion's share of the carries. With Murray, I really envision him having a third-down role primarily.

Lol Ingram played in the SEC man.

His numbers would be way up if he played in the big 12.

That's interesting because Darren McFadden played in the SEC and his numbers absolutely crush Mark Ingram's.

I'm not sure if you're in love with Ingram, so I won't act like you are. But I've never seen so much ballyhoo over a running back who ran over 875 yards once in three years at Alabama.

Meanwhile, McFadden didn't have a season of less than 1,100 yards...in the SEC.

So what's Ingram's excuse?

Dallas Cowboys

Best pick: I like the pick of Bruce Carter in the second round. He is coming off an ACL injury, so he might be limited in 2010, but he has star potential if on the field.

Questionable move: Taking DeMarco Murray in the third round was a strange move with all the other needs they have.

Third-day gem: Sixth-round pick Dwayne Harris is a steal. He will make their team and be a good slot receiver.

Analysis: They added a starter in tackle Tyron Smith and then filled in some holes, though I think they could have gone in another direction when they picked Murray.

Grade: B-
Same thing I just said in the Kiper grade thread - Then he undervalues the Murray pick. Just because Barber (and possibly Choice) is still on the roster doesn't mean he will be. RB was a bigger need than most knew.

i will not shed a tear if neither barber or choice are on the team and jones and murray start the year for us

Pretty sure it was with Donovan McNabb, after we played the Commanders this year. I don't remember clearly, but I hate him forever for it.

It was from Vick wasn't it?
