Seriously?

This is quite possibly the lamest thing I have ever seen.

To think that people actually pay this guy to sharpen pencils is just dumbfounding.

Little more arrogance would have been appreciated. Just didn't get the feeling that he was authoritative enough in his delivery.

Oh.....What a burden it must be to harness such a skill.

If such a profession exists, I'd slot this below professional *** hair trimmer.

Half of me feels sorry for him.
The other half is calling me an *** and to let him be who he wants to be.

I am pretty sure this is a joke.
Agree. You've got to admire the fact that he kept a straight face the entire time he performed his little skit. I didn't find it humorous though.

The tweezers are for the pencil shavings because the shavings are part of the pencil and they belong to the owner???? Are you kidding me hahahahaha

Oh it's definitely not a joke. You can tell he appreciates his pencils. I don't find this as ridiculous as most people do. I actually appreciate people like this. As silly as it sounds we need more quality here in the states. Taking the time like he does to sharpen a pencil is okay with me.

He's an artisan. There are millions of people who do what most consider silly work but they are good at it and everyone else thinks they are better than it. There's nothing wrong with it. I'm sure we can all go on our own little diatribe about office work and sitting in a cubicle.

The dude clearly appreciates sharpening some pencils, good for him. I'm sure artists love him.

Pays $15 to get pencils professionally sharpened...

It's not a joke. That book is on Amazon and from his own website:

IS THIS A JOKE?

If you start a pencil-sharpening business, you can expect to hear this question a lot. The short answer? No, this is not a joke. You pay David Rees money and he sharpens your pencils. It actually happens.

If you think it's a joke, why don't you poke yourself with your newly sharpened pencil? Or better yet, don't -- because it'll really hurt. In fact, every pencil David Rees sharpens is shipped with a signed and dated certificate authenticating that it is now a dangerous object.

Though I couldn't imagine the real benefits of this. The pencil sets I buy come sharpened and cost less.

I'm pretty sure there are higher quality pencils that never come sharpened. All of the pencils in the video look like they are pricey.

I am wondering if this is for professional artists.

If I'm reading it right, he has it at 15.00 a pencil.

Less than 3.00 a pop. ;)
