Here's the true 2022 QB rankings.
2022 QB RANKINGS
FAIL

That's simply a ranking based primarily on how many games a QB has played. If you'll look at the list, you'll see that if you played 12 or 13 games, the highest anyone is ranked is #14.

All the guys who played in 12 or 13 games or lower are ranked #14 or below.

HARD FAIL

With Brees, Brady, and Rodgers all either gone or aging, there's a need for new blood.
There's a hole in superstar talent right now.
I think Lawrence has the potential to be in that top 4-5, but not yet. Just has potential so far.

I'd be fine if Dak's ranked 12th and we go to the SB

really show's what they know 6th that's a joke
If you think about it, what difference does it make where he is ranked? We know what kind of QB he is. If he's 6th, that just means there aren't 6 elite QBs in the league. If you're the tallest person in a room full of midgets, what does that say about your height? Yet you're #1.

I think 6-12 are largely interchangable as far as where you want to rank them except Stafford. Many said if only he was on a complete team, he went to one and immediately won a SB. He's clearly better than the rest of fully healthy.

That is a guy's list, not the network's.
Nope. Ryan Clark said Dak was Top 5 from 2019-2021. He said his recently, also. It was June 13, 2023 when that was posted.

His quote was: (June 13, 2023)

""If you go back to 2019 and 2021, Dak Prescott was a top-five quarterback in this league," Clark said. "I believe in '19 he had 30 touchdowns and 10 picks, then in 2021, 37 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions"

When you think of it, he's right. Dak's most elite period was 2020 and the first 10 games of 2021. He was pretty much elite for the duration of an entire season. He's well capable. That's why there's more people out there claiming he's Top 5/6 than claiming he's #18 or something.

What I said a couple of days ago.

At the end of the day, rankings really don't matter any more than power polls do. Just something to discuss and debate.

Did you elevate your team to wins in the playoffs or were you the main reason for yet another loss. That's where we are at with Dak.

Is he a top 10 QB? Probably is. Just something to discuss and debate while we wait until the playoffs.
If he is top 10 its because the bottom 2/3 is just a historically weak group

in most of the normal talented quarterback pool years he’d be around 18-24.

we can add Cousins and Carr to that status as well…..when Kyler Murray is considered top 15 we have a problem, Houston.

and of course, here’s the obligatory “ Go Cowboys” to prevent a couple of pantys here getting wadded

Dude,

Calm down. You were a high school coach, allegedly.

Constantly playing the "I Was A High School Coach" card is lame and doesn't buy you the cred you think it does. At least with anyone who can see, interpret and think for themselves.

I am sure there a lot of people here who played and coached. You aren't special.

lol, I coached on Madden and I think I won several championships and my opinions are more important than others. Heck, I've even coached Emmitt and Troy on there. I know what I'm talking about.
Madden? Lol. That explains it!

The all important stat?

Not at all, as individual game conditions do depend upon team manageable leadership elements and can be indicated by individual game film analysis as do all teams now doing that. On the contrary. more general management principals give football related insight...not some magical statistic that at best gives directional dominance, not game dominance. Wins say it all in the NFL.

Know when Tom Landry won a pair of Lombardis? When he had QB Roger Staubach.

Know when Jimmy Johnson won his Super Bowls When he had DE Charles Haley.

Know when Barry Switzer won his Lombardi? When Haley was available non injury enough to go on the carpet, and then Jerry paid for the services of Deion Sanders.

Now tell me a stat that covers those facts... :starspin:
