Never bought into this "Only so many balls to go around"Michael Gallup, AKA "3rd. round compensatory pick" should have another productive season. There's only so many balls to go around with Gallup, Cooper, lamb, Wilson, Jarwin, Schultz, Elliott and Pollard. But Gallup will no doubt make his share of plays for us before he moves on to greener pastors. He represented good value as a third round pick. The ugly side of hitting on a draft pick is that you face the real possibility of not being able to retain his services because of the cap.

There's not a quota on how many passes a WR can get.
That's true, who knows which receiver has the favorable matchup that week, he could see 10 -12 targets. But when you have talent spread across the board I think it affects distribution a little bit as you work to get all playmakers involved.Never bought into this "Only so many balls to go around"

Good that the drops were down, but I'd cash out now. We have plenty of receiving targets on offense. Cash out Gallup now into picks and use them for defense.
Other teams need Gallup more than we do.

Until Cooper has the foot injury last more than 3 games........Good that the drops were down, but I'd cash out now. We have plenty of receiving targets on offense. Cash out Gallup now into picks and use them for defense.

Plus he has bad taste in women.Good that the drops were down, but I'd cash out now. We have plenty of receiving targets on offense. Cash out Gallup now into picks and use them for defense.

or... wait till next year and Cooper's contract is structured to release him with little damage. Sign Gallup and avoid Cooper's injuriesGood that the drops were down, but I'd cash out now. We have plenty of receiving targets on offense. Cash out Gallup now into picks and use them for defense.

If you trade him it has to be for a second round pick or better because if you keep him another year and let him walk we get a third round pick as comp.
I’d wait and see if some team that thinks it’s a contender has a serious injury early on and gets desperate then we and try to get a second and a another late pick or a second and a D player in a trade.
Cowboys need to find a way to keep WR Michael Gallup. He keeps getting better and is a deep threat for this Offense, even though he doesn't have deep speed. He simply knows how to get enough separation and has excellent hands to stretch opposing Defenses to where it helps Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb get open underneath.

If one doesn't believe what I wrote, name me another WR on the roster who has the intangibles Gallup has who can consistently win deep passes thrown his way that forces opposing Defenses to account for him, thus helping our other 2 WRs underneath in Cooper and Lamb (plus our TEs)?
Cowboys need to keep Gallup. Find a way.
