does he want a job in Dallas?

Hes gotta Challenge him.....Or be good enough to take the Job outright from Bland

Like i said i Love him on special teams i think hes one of the best gunners in the league but hes a 2nd round pick and 2nd rounders these days are expected to start and fairly soon
Oh I don’t disagree. I think they had higher expectations than special teams…I just think this is what he is. They will give him every chance to get reps in preseason but he won’t unseat Lewis or Bland. Can’t play nickel at all and never will be. And Diggs and Gilmore are a lock. Rooting for him but yeah I think special teams is where he can make some noise. Cowboys might’ve been too arrogant in their scouting.

If they draft a CB in the 1st he is #5. One more spot down and he is off the roster. Wright could even push him off
He's already #6 after Diggs, Gilmore, Bland, Lewis, and Wright. There's no way he makes the team this year unless he beats out CJ Goodwin for the designated special teams role.

Joseph had the most clutch play of the season in the playoffs.

Had the Cowboys won that game, he'd be a Dallas favorite right now.

But since MCarthy, Moore, and Dak dropped the ball in that game, everyone is prematurely calling him a bust.

Let's wait till camp.

Too early to call him a bust over a couple plays.
it's been two years. there's nothing premature about it. he sucks. hopefully he turns it around.

Talks about his ST's play, but he needs to step it up this year. Possibly even be a TC cut IMO.

I forgot about the fumble he caused in the SF game. But I can't remember the result of what the offense did with it.
After Joseph forced the fumble and Demone Clark recovered it, the Cowboys were at the 49ers 21, 1st & 10.
5 plays later - 4th & goal at the 9ers 7. Dallas settles for a FG.
DAL 9, SF 9___9:08 left in 3rd qtr.

Oh boy where do i start

As a Gunner on special teams....i love his work.....however as a corner? No...no....and did i say no...

in his time as a corner he was a liability and what i look for is flashes of starter material....You can struggle but he wasnt what you want from a Number 2 corner or even number 3
This won’t make anyone around here happy but he may can carve out a role as a special teamer. He seems to be playing well there. It’s year 3 so if he’s gonna be a corner we will know this year but I think he has a future as a special teams guy for this season if he doesn’t screw it up. Probably the only thing saving his spot right.l now.

Joseph wasn't picked in the 2nd round - no. 44 overall - to be a special teams ace.
If his CB play does not significantly improve during TC & PS season - he's gone.

Nothing has changed, Joseph needs reps and a Coach that will let him work thru growing pains.

Kelvin needs a strength shoes off-season, and someone to coach him in strength shoes, and on playing in one on one scenarios.

On the other hand, he needs to develop an urgent sense of curiosity, and the coaches should have been doing that at the end of last season.

If he were a tad bit better on his toes, and at instinctive starting and stop scenarios, he'd be good.

He needs to find his weaknesses and work at them. Just be open to having weaknesses, like every other player, and build them after you identify them.

They need to make identify their buzz word. Because that's the only way they'll win.

If i was his agent, i'd be looking for a collaboration with Shakira or Rihanna. He obviously doesn't have his head in the game and just wants the money to pay for his stagnant rap career. You can decide if i am being sarcastic or not. Get him off the dammm team.

He’s too talented to not be a legit corner in this league.

Dude should be no worse than a solid #2 corner for someone.

His problem is obvious. He’s doesn’t carry himself like a professional. Dude needs to mature. Clear as day.
I think the problem is he's not passionate about football and hasn't put the work in to get better. He was a raw prospect when the Cowboys drafted him with limited college experience and needed a lot of polishing. This is a make-or-break year for him because there are likely new corners coming for his job and at the moment he's the #5 corner.

Joseph was not technique, scheme, or assignment sound. Gunning on ST is much easier in terms of keys so he can just run down field taking on blocks. Cornerback is a hugely complex undertaking as you need to know what all the various offensive systems are trying to do, as well as, your scheme and your assignments. The technique with the steps and hand placement and timings is daunting.

At the end of the day knucklehead is going to knucklehead but I have no doubt that if he puts in the time and effort he can improve and contribute.

I expect nothing from him. Would be surprised if he makes the roster let alone contributes this season.
