He improved in coverage as the INT's went down. Though his completion % on passes went up, they tageted him less.
I still do not like his lack of contact and tackling, especially in the SF game. That still irks me.

Big contract looming, so do thy feel he is worth it.
I know many say trade him, but that is not going to happen. And I do not see the sense in it.

IT bugs me as well his shying away from contact and tackling. To be blunt as good as he is that is simply not allowable for him to let so many runners get more yardage and worse because he chooses to make business decisions.
So its a real conundrum. As you said trading is not going to happen; though frankly I would dangle him out there and see what interest there is.
Its not like we can put in his contract he has to tackle everyone coming his way as much as I would like to; simply unenforceable.

Its almost to the point where you have to start trading half of these guys. NO way can you afford all of them. KC did the right thing getting a haul for Hill. Why not? If you can get two firsts or a first and 2nd, start over at the position.

Dak as well. You almost have to see what you could get for all for these guys while your trying to sign them.

He should have been traded this off season but the Jones buys approach each season as if this is the season they will win a SB so there is no plan looking 3 years down the road, it is always about today

The people saying trade him are the same people saying keep Dak and that Dak is the best.

That’s why you don’t listen to cowboy fans

I don't think he is worth a big contract. he absolutely refuses to tackle REFUSES. this is football. tackling is mandatory. he plays the game like its two hand touch football. pathetic

I usually dont listen to cowboys fans like at all

Trade our best corner because they dont like his tackling? and he whiffed on a tackle vs George Kittle

nevermind hes a top 5 corner he made a bad whiff on a tackle and didnt stick his head in a couple tackles vs Tampa

If they could get significant draft pick compensation for him, I would consider a trade due to the fact he is going to want a monster contract and you do not have a 5th year option to exercise on him. You only trade him if you have no intention of re-signing him, and considering the fact that it appears that Dallas didn't shop him around at all, it is likely they fully intend on getting him back.

He is one of the top cover corners in the NFL and does a lot more to help you with his coverage than hurt you with his tackling.

Don't forget that he dropped an INT a few plays later that even you could have caught...

Easy to say this when you are not the one putting your body on the line to get trucked by Kittle.
amazing how many make excuses for soft players

Guess what dude, it might be news to you but EVERY football player (well maybe not kickers) put their bodies on the line.

Again, this is a claim that you can make from the comfort of your own home. Yea, while they are paid a lot of money to play a sport no one is asked to put their body on the line for sure fire gruesome injury and anyone asking this of any human being is flat out sick in the head.

It was pretty much the second half of the season or at least numerous games. It wasn't just the playoffs that he was backpedalling to avoid contact, pretending to be blocked, etc.

Besides, if you aren't going to give it your all when the season is on the line, when am I supposed to expect you to?

I mean you could make an argument he was as much a reason we lost that game as any other single player.

The approach is about today and the future. We want to have a chance not only this upcoming season, but in seasons to come and to do that, you need to hang onto your best players but you don’t seem to get that.

This is my thinking too......."when the season is on the line".

I cant help but play "what if" on that Kittle play. I was a complete momentum changer and maybe, just maybe was the difference between a W and a L.

I like Diggs a lot but that was the very definition of "season on the line" and he pulled out the challenge. I've struggled with the thought ever since.
