I tend to agree with those concerned about his tackling business decisions made recently. I feel it had a lot to do with that second contract looming. Going for the big bucks. The last thing he wanted was to be in Pollard's position that he is in now. I do realize the Cowboys can't pay everybody. I see the Jones clan seeing Diggs as one they need to keep. I can go either way on this one. As long as they don't get "fleeced" should they trade him.

fleeced---verb, (fleesd) "to deprive of money, belongings, or trade equality by fraud, hoax, swindle, or just plain smarter than the other GM. Taking advantage of one less intelligent or mentally challenged. EX. See Amari Cooper.

This post is not going to go over well...

I am not advocating for defensive NFL players to not tackle, as it is fundamental to that side of the ball...

I will fully admit that I have not looked up starting CB's weight and size before this post...

My take is...I can understand a few business decisions a year if you are just shutting down elite WR's in the mean time. I get that Diggs made two obvious decisions in one game IN THE PLAYOFFS that can be ridiculed forever.

Is there any coach or FO in the NFL that would ask this of a CB....IF IF IF the CB was undersized(assuming Diggs is. I have no clue)?

Here is my argument to this situation:

Why is Brady given a pass, or any QB for that matter, for wasting downs throwing the ball into the ground when a play breaks up or is not there? That is giving up. You can argue until the cows come home that it isnt apples to apples...but it is. Its giving up on a play. Sure...on offense its different. But so is losing your lock down corner for a season and a half. OK...argue that on offense you have to manage possessions and percentage a play will produce....well...so is managing losing lock down CB for a season.

Here is the thing. I try and be fair. If this is the norm and Diggs and FO agree this is ok...Diggs should take a slight discount instead of top dollar. If this is Diggs thing...Cowboys should require a discount....not bottom feeder but a discount. If this is FO stuff...the discount will not be so much do to Diggs claiming its not him.

There are obvious metrics and stats that need to be considered with Diggs before a top dollar contract if he is going to make business decisions in Playoff games. The thing is...if he is locking guys down and making INTs or not even being thrown his way....how do you manage that contract situation? Or do you just move on?

I guess my main take away is...Is Diggs elite enough to allow business decisions? Or is the ELITE factor still yet to be determined? If so...it makes the contract situation difficult.

He improved in coverage as the INT's went down. Though his completion % on passes went up, they tageted him less.
I still do not like his lack of contact and tackling, especially in the SF game. That still irks me.

Big contract looming, so do thy feel he is worth it.
I know many say trade him, but that is not going to happen. And I do not see the sense in it.
100% keep diggs. The team has searched far too long for a DB who can actually track and attack the ball.

Yes the guy demanding that Treyvon Diggs wreck his health for a game is telling me about reality. Please proceed sir. This should be hilarious.
OK here is the brutal truth you are trying to hide from:
Diggs is paid BIG MONEY to do exactly that.
That is his choice. Now the Boys have to decide if he is a good enough CB to ignore his softness.

No, Diggs is paid big money to play CB. Nowhere in that job description does it claim that he is being paid to end up injured or risk his health. That goes for every football player.

Straight from the lips of Diggs and his agent.

Is there any player on this team yall like?
Of course there are. Lots of guys were fantastic last season. In no particular order (apologies if I missed someone) these guys deserve big praise:

Pollard and Lamb. Wilson and Kearse. Bland and Parsons. Tyler Smith and Terence Steele.

Other guys also deserve a pat on the back such as:

Hendershot, Ferguson and Schultz. Biadasz and Martin. Hooker and Dorance.

Many other guys were also fine.

the flipside of that play and all this talk is the 2 dbs that got beat by kittles, chasing him him down and blew that coverage have no blame in here?? LOL but the CB who wasnt part of that play who came over late to help and yes seemed to want to hit the ball at an angle ad not collide with kittles simply missed the hit.. he tried to be too finesse and just go for the ball and whiffed. it was bad timing , also maybe some of you need to get clue , im as upset as you at some of the business decision stuff in the playoffs, understand it in RS games at times.

BUT you do realize the new rules protect the Offensive payers and IOF Diggs hits Kittles wrong could be called targeting or hitting a defenseless payer and the league is telling defenders to not make those blow-up highlight reel hits or could be fined and thrown out of games.

who knows what he was thinking but there is more that can be debated here then just diggs was scared to get hurt, also soem adding he might have had hurt wrist/hand and was protecting that given all the issues we had at DB with injury..

lets how we can keep them all but we shall see even payer like Ramseys got traded from the jags and both have similar starts to their careers.. stranger things have happened, but Diggs is worth keeping if hes not going to go for the largest bag possible.

idk why people keep bringing up Diggs Vs Kittle like thats the defining moment of that mans career...a play where he whiffed and took a horrible angle on a tackle like it was the reason we lost the game

one play in the middle of what the third quarter? the 49ers scored all of 19 points that should be enough for us to win

lol they want cooper rush and malik Davis to start next year, feel like they are better than dak and zeke and pollard wont recover and is now the overpaid target LOL they FEEL that this defense will be lock down give up under 13PPG and ST will be perfect, and we wont need offense or points. they want to score while being very careful and protective, punt 7 times game scores under 14 and win them all :))

I like both Rush and Davis but the defense won those games Rush played and thats not saying anything bad about Rush

Rush played intelligent ball....kept drives moving when needed and knew when on 3rd down to take a shot or check it down and let the defense do its thing....he didnt turn the ball over either until Philly

however the defense going their first 5 games allowing less than 20 points isnt a recipe for long term sucess now a days and once they gave up 26 we lost
