OK here is the brutal truth you are trying to hide from:
Diggs is paid BIG MONEY to do exactly that.
That is his choice. Now the Boys have to decide if he is a good enough CB to ignore his softness.
Can they not give it another year to see how it goes. Who you gonna replace him with?

I like both Rush and Davis but the defense won those games Rush played and thats not saying anything bad about Rush

Rush played intelligent ball....kept drives moving when needed and knew when on 3rd down to take a shot or check it down and let the defense do its thing....he didnt turn the ball over either until Philly

however the defense going their first 5 games allowing less than 20 points isnt a recipe for long term sucess now a days and once they gave up 26 we lost
he didn't turn it over ??:muttley:, he go lucky those 2 INt in the Washington game were called back, 2 fumbles in the rams game got recovered by our team in which he moved the ball to tune of 107 passing yards , and the 3 INts all those show he isnt safe with the ball , rather got lucky.. sorry man, thats hogwash and it proves my point with fan selective memory.

rush couldn't score more then 20 consistently, the with way sure but punted a lot 3rd down% was horrible ..hes not starter material, never was and while a decent backup isn't even a great backup.. most overrated player on the team last year.

More like defense, run game, OL and Sts won those games.

Dak didn't get that in many of those games post injury, need proof well Dak had to score 40 to beat hilly, Bears game i mean there were many games after the bye that the D failed, ST started becoming shaky, OL getting shuffled, run game disappeared. Dak needed to ish the ball and score points.. rush cant run an offense that needs to score 25-40 points dak can but that makes it more risky when you are asked to carry team when the chips are down.

fans ignore that blame Dak and Zeke.

IM saying it was more then that the run game and OL were best they had been all year, sts were making b2b 60yarders just saying the table was set for rush , easily dak goes 4-1 and more easily. No struggling into the 4th qtr in that exact scenarios and possibly Dak beats the beagles as he does far more then he loses. maybe we go 5-0, that's the point. Team failed dak more than dak failed the team .

He should have been traded this off season but the Jones buys approach each season as if this is the season they will win a SB so there is no plan looking 3 years down the road, it is always about today
Yes he isn't much of a visionary and looking into the longterm future is he.

He cut down on burnt coverages even it came at less INTs.
Shut out Justin Jefferson, though he's shown alarming less decline for contact tackling than we've ever seen him.

Like it or not he's gonna be the highest paid CB in NFL come his last year on his rookie contract.

So he got better but allowed 12% more completions than last year. And just how did he get better? QB's got scared of the interceptions so they went away from him. And those that weren't scared of him completed more passes at a higher rate than last year. I won't knock him for not getting 11 INT's but he needs to work on keeping the completions down and tackling.

If QBs arent going to be scared of his INT ability...he needs to display ELITE cover skills on top WR's if he is going to make business decisions and ask for top money.

Again...I dont watch tape...but if his cover skills are ELITE against ELITE WRs but he is going to make business decisions in playoff games....he needs to take a discount unless his team fears he will walk and other teams will accept his business decisions. But...now we are back to the QB controversy. Dallas fans hate Dak and his contract...but will gladly give up the farm if non-Super Bowl winning QB Josh Allen was to become available. Advocate for for cheap non-SB player deals, yet will give up the farm if your favorite non-SB winning QB was to become available regardless of contract size......reinforcing what real GM's are having to deal with. "I want a cheap guy better than what I have"...yet will overpay for another guy that doesnt meet your SB standard if he becomes available.

It doesnt end.

Football is a contact sport. Covering WR's is a big deal in the pro-offense NFL. If Diggs is ELITE at covering but unwilling to get injured...he should take a discount. Not bottom feeder...but a discount. Unless of course the team is telling him to play risk averse football.

It doesnt really matter if youre a football player...and I am not trying to make excuses for the guy....but is Diggs the guy that has only been playing Corner for a couple of years? He was a WR first? From high school to college the jump is big....from college to pros....asking a small guy to tackle downhill big guys is rich. But..it is football and he knew that switching positions.

I asked Google and Google said Diggs is normal CB size....so there is that against him.
