Props to Ware

I've been as critical as anybody towards DeMarcus Ware because through his career I've felt like he's quit on plays and disappeared in big moments. This year, and tonight in particular, he was a monster when it matter most. He played with a real edge on that 2nd to last drive and got a huge sack. The only time I remember seeing that edge was against the Saints two years ago when the were undefeated.

Maybe he has purposely pushed himself into a more clutch player/leader, or maybe Ryan is getting more out of him. But I was awfully impressed with him tonight, especially because he was getting stonewalled by Williams early.

Good work DeMarcus :starspin

He made the same exact plays last week. A huge sack to kill a 49ers drive late in the fourth and then killing their drive in overtime with beautiful coverage of Gore out of the backfield forcing a sack.

Ware's a monster. The unbelievable addition of Sean Lee has turned these 2 into a two-headed monster on defense. They've been unreal.

When it looks like Ware is "taking a play off" it's because he's decided that putting his head down and blindly rushing the QB (and winding up out of position) isn't necessarily the right play. Part of his just is to hold his position, bat down balls, and tackle players coming back to his side of the field.

I live in dc and watched the game with a few skins fans. I have a sore throat from yelling about Ware not being offside. We watched the snap in slow motion and there is a line drawn at the line, and Ware was behind the line after the ball was snapped.

anyway, after the game they watched a local john riggins talk show and he was critical of Trent Williams. He asked why the refs are giving him a pass. He said that he was holding all game and was moving before the snap a lot, but no penalties. He and Dexter Manley(I know) agreed that he was guilty of several uncalled penalties. Good to hear they saw it too, and from how they were talking, they saw it more than I did.

I am really happy with our lbs. The three that I saw out there, at least. :laugh2:

It speaks volumes that this is coming from 2 ex-Commanders.

I loved how he started to use the spin move to get pressure when the bull rush didn't work.

^^I like that he's using that spin move more often now too. If he can perfect that to nearly the level of Freeney/Mathis

Disappeared? He's made so many HUGE plays late in games ... geez, you haven't been paying attention have you?

I was thinking the same thing. Really unbelieveable. Must not watch many games.
