I've been as critical as anybody towards DeMarcus Ware because through his career I've felt like he's quit on plays and disappeared in big moments. This year, and tonight in particular, he was a monster when it matter most. He played with a real edge on that 2nd to last drive and got a huge sack. The only time I remember seeing that edge was against the Saints two years ago when the were undefeated.

Maybe he has purposely pushed himself into a more clutch player/leader, or maybe Ryan is getting more out of him. But I was awfully impressed with him tonight, especially because he was getting stonewalled by Williams early.

Good work DeMarcus :starspin

he was often held, tackled, and tripped but the flags never came.

I also love the stat that he is 2nd behind Reggie White and ahead of Bruce Smith for most sacks in 1st 100 games. Add to that the Witten stat of the 4th most yards of any tight end in a 4 year span in the history of the NFL. I really hope these two great Cowboys are able to lift the Lombardi trophy before their careers are over.

Ive never been or felt the need to be critical of Ware.
Dude is a monster and a pro.
This team is spoiled by the likes of Ware and Witten, imo.
Men among boys- reliably and always.

I'm thinking Lee has the same potential and hope it continues.

Are you serious? I'd never be critical of the best defensive player on the team... A. Spencer finally made some noise!

But....but .......but....according to 'skin fans he jumped off side at least 5 times and it never got called...he cheated.

Seriously, I'd consider just giving up on watching football altogether.

Disappeared? He's made so many HUGE plays late in games ... geez, you haven't been paying attention have you?

I live in dc and watched the game with a few skins fans. I have a sore throat from yelling about Ware not being offside. We watched the snap in slow motion and there is a line drawn at the line, and Ware was behind the line after the ball was snapped.

anyway, after the game they watched a local john riggins talk show and he was critical of Trent Williams. He asked why the refs are giving him a pass. He said that he was holding all game and was moving before the snap a lot, but no penalties. He and Dexter Manley(I know) agreed that he was guilty of several uncalled penalties. Good to hear they saw it too, and from how they were talking, they saw it more than I did.

I am really happy with our lbs. The three that I saw out there, at least. :laugh2:

I wished he would have had more sacks against Rex, but that dude that was on him was HUGE, like eats a horse for breakfast daily huge. Considering he had to move around a bull elephant (well a guy the size of one), he did really well. I love Ware, he's a beast.

You mean he was getting held and tackled by Williams early -and through out the game

Or maybe you were just plain wrong about him. Maybe.

On Spencer's sack/strip play that sealed the win, Ware made an incredible inside move that took up three defenders and forced Grossman to scramble out of the pocket. I credit Spencer for the speed and effort, but without Ware, that play wouldn't have happened.

I don't really care for this thread. If you've always felt that way before this day then you don't know what you observe out there about this game for which you post on this forum.
