Yes.

That's why if anything is going to change it's going to start with the players.
The problem here is.

College football players are also now being coddled (Zeke is a perfect example).

So unless the culture is already established within the organization players wont be able to change it. They will conform.

Asking a 20 year old kid to change years of incompetence and enabling is a tough ask.

How Seattle gets through this with any self confidence for their season opener.

Go watch Jerry speaking to Stephen A.

He already thinks the playoffs are guaranteed. And said so on National TV.

This is why I constantly say. It doesnt matter who is under center, or on this team. They will never go anywhere because they dont feel they need to win. They already have.
Wow . . . thats deep

This morning on NFLN. They said that Todd Bowles was not concerned with TB12 conditioning after missing time in TC. But he wanted any healthy starters including TB12 to get in some reps this last PS game.
I think if Dak wanted some snaps, MM would say ok. Even though they can make safe plays, remove some of the risks. I still think it is important to get them some reps in real live action. I know they say they can get that in the scrimmages against other teams, but it is still not the same. They know they aren't going to take a big hit. Then come real games, will they be hesitant for a bit.

Hard call, but dang it, play them for a few series.
I couldn't disagree more. Dak was coming off multiple injuries last year, barely practicing and didn't play a snap of preseason ball, and he and the offense came out on fire. The team went 12-5 in the regular season. Coming out of training camp prepared was not this team's problem. Heck, the 2021 SB champions notoriously sat their starters in preseason.

Starters playing few pre-season series isn't gonna change anything.

And I understand that point of view as well. I just feel get in some snaps can't hurt at all.

Maybe on the other hand if they did play in PS they would have been even more sharp to start out.

Could be. Maybe they'd have beaten Tampa (without Martin). There's just no statistical or even eyeball evidence that demonstrates value in starters playing in preseason. So Brady and Mahomes do. Matthew Stafford doesn't.
