Punk'd 2009: Brandon Jacobs

I doubt anyone was ungrateful. All some of us did was make a comment that the ending took away from the content. I would have said the same regardless of the chosen ending because it is such a stark contrast to the point of the video. It became an insult Brandon Jacobs video rather than what it could have been. It was our opinion. It wasn't meant to offend dcfanatic or slap down what he does and what he provides. I consider the guy a friend and he knows that and I think everyone who provides stuff for the forum knows I appreciate their contributions. I just didn't like the ending and I had the temerity to say I didn't. Damn me forever I guess.

When my wife cooks me a good dinner...never ever do i say “the potatoes ruined it for me”. Or point out some small aspect of the dinner that i think ruined the whole thing. Or say, oh i don’t like you talking while you cook, something dumb like that. I want to eat again, so its wise to be grateful for what you get. Many times, it is not what you say, but how you say it. Temerity? I need to look that one up.

The title of the video was Punk'd 2009.

It was an insult video from the get go. If I would have left the entire clips from the interviews with Hasselbeck, Wyche and Sapp then the video would have been pointless because they all got on Romo for his inability to perform in December.

Now people are telling the board what the video was supposed to be...

If I am being honest which I will be always.

I find it more amusing than I find it that people are ungrateful when someone like CowboyMike starts telling me how to make the videos.

Some say to post all the videos and audio and don't have an opinion.

These people are ridiculous. And most of the time they don't even see how silly they look which is sad.

That's a perfectly reasonable point, and I agree. I just think that people would have to accept the bad with the good. Either we can all be "yes men" and high-five him, or some of us can tell him what we think, "man to man," so to speak.

Some of you honestly like it the way it is, and that's great. I like most of it, until the end. That should be something people should just accept. You can't please everybody...and that applies to everybody.

No, not hushing up. I just think you tend to get overly defensive sometimes, man.

I do it on occasion too.

Just take it for what it's worth, another opinion. You are obviously free to make whatever videos you want, how you want, but try not to be so defensive if everybody doesn't just love every bit of every one of them.

I'm not treating you any different than I would a friend. I will always try to tell it like it is (at least my perception of "it"), often to a fault.

I complemented you on all the work you do and that most of your stuff is high quality. But in addition to that, I said if you kept your agenda and high opinions out of most of your stuff, or rather injected your thoughts without making them the feature, your work would be that much better. It would be appreciated more and be... simply classier.

And you do need to learn to take some negative opinions on your work and accept them a little more than just laughing them off. Instead you pull a Timmy-Mac and what all these other bloggers do. You pull something out of left field and accuse someone of being a TO defender, which totally didn't apply to this. Overall, you get overly defensive instead of saying, "You know what, you might be right. I'll think about it for next time." We fans appreciate the work you do, just be more accepting of criticism when it comes your way. Take it as an opportunity to learn rather than brush it off and staying on your pedestal.
