One thing that has calmed me is the way this game with all the rule changes and commercials is not the game i grew up watching.
First, 49 isn't even close to the end, unless you have a serious health issue in which case my prayers are with you.
Like many of you, my entire week used to be ruled by the outcome of the Cowboys. Luckily they won most of their games through my childhoodin the 70s, though I did learn to drywall by repairing holes I put in the walls in my childhood home after losses. I once actually knocked myself out by banging my head on the door jamb jumping down the stairs after the Thanksgiving Day game when Clint Longley came in and led a ridiculous comeback win.
Looking back now I can't believe my dad put up with it, but since he was from Odessa I guess he understod it.
And I completely agree on the changes in the game. It's clearly an entertainment show now with some football augmenting the show. The over-officiating and league overlords have created a fun but very different sport.
I enjoy the games now, but it's not at all the same.
