Let me first say that I haven't seen the game last night. But from what I'm hearing, Vaughan seems to be showing more and more each week. Now Minter has a sort of "break out" game (relatively speaking of course). I get that Lawrence and Spencer could be back before week 6. But is it really worth it? To keep these two spots open on a team like this, who likely wouldn't even be able to make an impact until later than week 6 anyway? From what I'm hearing, Vaughan may have the potential to be a solid backup QB in this league. I'd hate to risk losing him by putting him on the PS and hoping no one notices.

I'm still surrpised at the people who still don't understand how the PUP list works. It's been corrected many, many, many times. Demarcus Lawrence isn't eligible to be put on the PUP list. Once you practice, you can't be put on it.

Someone gets it. ;)

Every year we have a QB that we want to hide. Last year it was Tanney. Last I knew, he was on the Browns now and not going to probably make it in the league. This year is Vaughn. The only way you keep him is if he is your second string QB. We have other roster spots that are more important right now.

No doubt the team is in a tough spot with the suspensions, injuries, and wanting to "go long" at certain positions. Those two roster spots are valuable. On the other hand, there's a chance both of those players could help significantly.... or not!

I just can't see Spencer sitting out for as long as he has and being able to contribute after a couple weeks of practice.

People are desperate for any shred of hope for this team.

I'm assuming he meant IR.

Agree, the thinking is it would take Brent weeks if not months to get into NFL DLine condition to take the hitting, and yet Spencer with MicroFrac surgery and out of contact for almost as long, save a stretch last year can be ready in 3-5 weeks......don't buy it. It all depends if they see a youngster or a Cut addition that can help a lot quicker. One of the 2 will be IR'd with the return to play option

And if we listened to this approach 10 years ago we wouldn't have Tony Romo.

Tanney is now with the Bucs.

Brilliant idea! Except for the fact that Lawrence isn't eligible for PUP. Otherwise genius.

You'd be wrong.

And if that's what he meant, it would be even worse.

Dlaw would be out the entire season..

Hes expected back well before the midway point.. It would be a horrendous decision

Pretty sure you have to have the guy on the 53 to put him on short term IR. Sorta defeats the purpose if you are trying to stash a player

There is a Designated for Return IR option. If Lawrence was put on DFR-IR he could return after 8 weeks.
