I just expected more...you see your team spend tons of dough on quality free agents, have a decent core of good young guys already here and then add a good draft, and you expect better than blowing a home game to a team that cant score, barely beating the least talented team in football and looking like a bunch of zombies against an 0-3 team that came in as the 2nd worst pass defense in football

and the defense may have a few more sacks, but we arnt getting any sort of consistent pass rush...further, two teams we just played that coulnt run a lick against anyone else ran all over us...the 0-3 Cardinals with a backup QB beat the living daylights out of the team we could BARELY get out of town with a win against...

this just hasnt looked like "progress" to me so far

David

Yeah, that Washington loss is still hard to take. I guess maybe we had differing levels of expectations on how much we had actualy improved. I think in general you are correct, I just think that we should give it a few more games before believing they are an average to bad team. Remember that 1990 season when we started 3-7 but went on to win 4 straight. Then Aikman got hurt and we tanked, but we saw some progress. Let's give them another 3-4 games to see what they are made of. Keep the faith, bro!!

Ok the chicken little bit is complete BS I can turn it around on you and call you a stupid blind homer; difference is I am not going to resort to name calling instead why don't you response with a reason why we will win. I mean come one the name calling is just funny for one thing I careless if you think I am chicken little or chicken salad heck you could call me what ever you want I will be laughing all the way to the TV.

Currently I do not think this team is good enough to beat the Eagles at home; in fact I think we are going to get are arse kicked to kingdom come. Dat is hurting and with the other lb already being under whelming and now we are going to move one of those guys over um ok I am a chicken little.

On top of that TO is a better wr than Moss because TO does run block and go over the middle. Sorry TO vs are safety deep help hummmm. This team has done a really bad job of tackling the last few weeks and that will allow westbrook to either break a long swing pass or run on us.

Then there defense blitzes and blitzes hard we have an average oline that has struggled to run block and have a rookie rt and you think Bledsoe is going to hold up to the pressure the eagles are going to bring. Unless Flo;Allen and Rivera start playing like Pro-bowlers (which they have not) and cover for the young guys Bledsoe going to get happy feet.

So call me anything you want go ahead it will not hurt my feelings if we win I am man enough to say darn I had that wrong. Now if we lose and lose big will you name callers be man enough to apologize for calling people names but not posting why you think we are going to win and not lose.

So before you start hammering on dbair with a bunch of name calling how about you come back with a rebuttle on why Daboys will win the game. Please go right ahead with a rebuttle one with some substance. Just because some one disagrees with you does not make them wrong and you right it makes it a difference of opinion.

It's early in the season and I have, at least temporarily, given up trying to predict how the Boys will play. They are capable of beating the Eagles, particularly an Eagles team with a few banged up players, but then they were capable of beating Washington and Oakland, too, but they obviously didn't play well enough to win.

Looks to me like neither the new players nor the new coaches are in sync yet. The left side of the OL has no excuses, but I can cut the two new guys on the right side a little slack for a while (They'll appreciate that, no doubt). I'm not thrilled with play calling on either side of the ball just yet but would like to feel better about that this weekend, but I don't have any high expectations. If they couldn't get up for Washington or San Fran, how are they gonna get up for Philly or NY?

I don't have any expectations right now, just hope. Hopefully positive expectations will come soon, but I haven't seen enough consistency to make me feel good just yet. I just keep hoping that they will become a team soon instead of a bunch of jocks hanging around a football field. Sooner or later it's gotta happen; I mean, don'cha think?

we had to come from behind all day against the worst team in football, and barely hung on to win against Tim Rattay...and you think we're beating Philly with McNabb?
We play down to the competition (all close games), we are at home, McNabb is not healthy, and the Eagles are missing their two starting defensive tackles.

The game is far from a lock, but it won't be an embarrassment either. There's a reason the line is 3 points. I expect another close on like the game in Philly last year.

Our season has been weird, we beat the Chargers and looked pretty good doing it...and right now they are as hot as anyone.

We were right with the Raiders all day, and had a chance in the final minutes to take the lead. This is the same Raiders team that outplayed the Eagles the week before and suffered a tough loss with Janikowski missing multiple field goals.

We dominated the Commanders, only to lose on two huge plays. Despite playing a horrible game against the 49ers, we beat them in their house.

I don't follow the gloom and doom, and I think that all we are missing is some consistency. Which hopefully will come as all these new players, both rookies and free agents, get more playing time together.

I always thought that the bigger the competition, the more hyped, and ready to play competitors get? guess it's just me then...

How about if:
1. D.Ware, C. Canty and M. Spears come up big keeping Donovan in the pocket--as they were drafted to do.
2. A biltzing Roy Williams re-aggrevates McNabbs injuries and he reverts to his ground-ball passing we seen him demonstrate in the past.
3. Andy Reid gets a terrific idea to start the game with like say---an onside kick.
4. The Eagle fail to realize that the way to beat the Cowboys is deep over the top like Santana Moss did but the short to medium throws common to Andy Reid's offense allow Henry to be physical with T.O. and allow Roy to cheat into the line.
5. How about if an already on the slow-side Dawkins is hobbled by his injury worse than their letting on.
6. How about the Eagle numerous defensive line injuries catch up with them and Bledsoe has time to exploit the blitz.

How about if we just out hit the Eagle and we win.Pretty unreasonable, kind of like Mark Brunell stinking up the joint for 55 minutes before throwing two TDs to win on the road behind a team that had lost 14 of 15 to us.

Yeah, me, too. But like I said, I just can't figure this team out right now. I hope to be pleasantly surprised and get to see them play to their potential.

Per the 3" Headlines...

Don' take this personally, but I would feel a lot better if Jimmah would've been the one phoning this in to Galloway after oh...a few Heinekens.

Just as he did, some dozen odd years ago. :)

Theres no question we will contain mcnabb better this time around. Look at the Line. Not seeing the #75 and the last name Wiley on the field is very comforting.

You know what is so sad about all this is?

See, the Commanders' Super Bowl is when they play us.

Our Super Bowl is when we play the Eagles.

My, have things changed.....

Nothing from this team has shown me that we will beat the Eagles. Especially with the Coaching Staff dropping the ball on all fronts.

Maybe you and ScottCase could go organize your own little circle jerk, and stop bothering the rest of us with your Chicken Little imitations...

Once upon a time, I had some respect for your ability to analyze a game, but these days you seem to REVEL in being cynical...

Take your "blowout loss" and stick it up your anal orifice, Davey...

and I think you know what you can do with your loser posts as well, right silverbear?
