I'm sick & tired of hearing the disrespect by media & fans alike. (Cowboy fans incl.). Saturday night Dak & co. will elevate the beloved franchise to levels nobody has since Aikman, he will surpass Romo in Cowboy lore & tie him in playoff wins in only his third year under helm. People speaking of Dak as some Alex Smith "bus driver" type will be highly salty come Sunday morning, I don't need stats to see a gamer, I don't need stats to see IT.. the clutch gene in PLAYOFF time, something we've lacked at the position for 23 freaking years, the fortunes have turned and a statement will be made. Hassellback, SAS, M.Kellerman, Sharpe all blantly called Dak overrated on National TV leading up to the biggest game in Cowboy history since probably '16..Sooo many people are expecting or suspecting Dak will fall flat on his face, that Dak will succumbed to the bright lights of L.A and will be demolished and left for roadkill while Jason picks up his carcasses off the ground in a heap of disappointment..I tend to lean with history, and history says Dak will go toe to toe or more than likely out-play golden child Goff & leave uncle Wade in bewilderment. Sadly those that doubt Dak now will NOT walk the plank of wrongful admission yet will take either credit or continue to dis-credit what he's done. Buckle up :flagwave:
History is a study of the past, so how can it possibly show the future?
I hope the team wins and you get to start the "I told you so" thread you want to start.

No, you just once again spoke in a long, rambling paragraph that I don't care to read.

Break it up into sensible portions like your English teacher taught you and quit being lazy.

 When you have nothing credible to say, so you insult someone. Have a good evening, Kramer.

Yep. Yet Dak on the other hand gets a ton of excuses as to why he "lucks" into wins. It's never Dak. It's always everyone else. Go read one of the first replies in here saying to thank Zeke. Inferring Dak did nothing.
It’s almost as if there’s some type of “bias”

I find that the people who lack credibility generally have poor sentence structure. Thier incoherent thought process is clearly demonstrated in an inability to convey ideas in a succinct and clear manner.

It's amazing that I repped your boi Zeke, and you're still on the attack. It shows your character and agenda for what it is.

Have a good evening.

Where's theirs smoke their's fire.....this offfense of ours is Zeke's and Dak is just driving the bus....don't be mad about all the criticism out there about Dak after all folk's have eyeballs and can SEE his many flaws as a QB.....This team is not in the playoffs because of Dak there in the dance INSPITE of Dak....thank you Zeke and Thank you Doomsday II.......
We're definitely in the playoffs PARTLY because of Dak. After all, I doubt very much that we'd be here if Rush or White were the QB.

That said, I'd like to see Dak turn it on and have at least three good quarters per game, rather than one or one and a half.

I sure hope we win and will be happy for the whole team and that for sure includes Dak.
.
But Im so sick of this middleschool level football knowledge that applies team wins to QBs
Please stop it!

Early in his career, Joe Flacco once played one if the worst games by a QB in NFL playoff history(10 rating) ...doing nothing to help his team win and everything to help them lose. But they somehow won. Im sorry, he individually does not deserve personal credit for that win.

Then there are games where QBs play 1000x better than Flacco did that day or even their opponents QB, but their team lost.
That does not make one QB a “winner” who gets a playoff win and the other a “loser”
It makes the TEAMS ONLY winners and losers.

:banghead:

Absolutely true! It is a team sport. That does not remove individual greatness, and the ability to separate some from others. Except for the casual fan, unfortunately. Roethlisberger may be one of the only to win won that he didn't earn, and go on to actually deserve one, and never get it again.

Dak is a PROVEN winner. He's clutch since college. Goff on the other hand has never proven that since his days at Cal.
I realize the Cowboys already have two division titles with Dak as QB.
But Honest question here. What did Dak win exactly in college? His team moved up high in the rankings one year, but I dont think they ever won anything major...and they went back down to jag the next year, I think.

Anyway, its 2019 and we’re all hoping Dak helps (key word there) the team advance in the playoffs

Hey maybe that'll be the change of the guard so to speak, the dawn of a new era in cowboy zone forum archives, I must say I'm excited for the opportunity, to answer your question pertaining to history, possibly the proper adjective could have been pattern, to be more precise, a pattern that shows he simply plays big in big games contrary of the normal around here. That's all I'm saying. Give him his respect Runwildboys:dance::grin:

Sorry, I didn't mean for that to come off as harsh as it may have.

I don't really think we have a big enough sample size to determine his history in big games, but a win is a win, which is ultimately what we're all hoping for.

I'm not mad at ya, buddy. ;) I praised Dak, too. You didn't listen to that either. It is what it is. At least we're beating the Rams this weekend, and that's all that matters. Even if you're being pretentious about my syntax whilst I poke away at my cellphone.

Touche on the cellphone part.

It's all fun n' games man. Just a silly forum. There's more to life. I blame Jerry for turning me into Kramer.

Enjoy the game this weekend.

The love hate of Dak from Cowboys fans is astonishing but I think we can all agree he had the absolute best rookie QB season ever & has done all this despite the incompetence of his OC & Co. I honestly believe to get to the Super Bowl there will be 1- 2 clutch crunch time plays every game here on out that every SB winning QB has had to make on the journey, the 3rd & 14 run was the first.. Saturday night I'm banking on seeing Dak make another epic moment.

What is it exactly that you are asking for? For every fan on CZ to start a thank you dak thread?

I spit out my victory Gatorade when he said it.. I just couldn't believe he said it with so much conviction as if it was facts & not a opinion.. I immediately thought of " We want the ball & were going to score " that bald headed weasel isn't half the QB Dak is.
I think he was feeling very salty that Dallas beat his Seachickens, which led to some dumb statements. Dak clearly outplayed Russell Wilson, when prior to the game, most talking heads didn't think he could.
