McFadden may end up going 4-6, just a couple spots ahead of Anderson. Take that for what it's worth. Also, if I had neither a DE nor a RB, I'd take a top flight DE over a top flight RB any day.

I would always take a top flight DE also...but I thought we were talking about Jamal Anderson.

I know where he was drafted but the original comment the poster made was:

When is the last time Arkansas had a player of Mcfadden's capability available?

And the answer to that question is NEVER. Not even close. Darren McFadden is the best player in Arkansas Razorback history by a comfortable mile.

I'm telling you right now, if I were a 4-3 team without a RB and a DE, I'd take Jamaal Anderson over Darren McFadden. The guy is going to be a hoss in time. He's big and athletic and was very productive in college. But he came out extremely early (was 20 years old when he declared for the draft -- that's young for a defensive lineman). If he'd stayed in college an extra year he'd be ranked ahead of Chris Long and Vernon Gholston right now.

Height: 6053
Weight: 288
40 Yrd Dash: 4.75
20 Yrd Dash: 2.73
10 Yrd Dash: 1.59
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 22
Vertical Jump: 32 1/2
Broad Jump: 9'8"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.22
3-Cone Drill: 6.88

2006 (only his 3rd year in college)
Tackles: 65
Sacks: 13.5
TFL: 19.5

I don't need to see his stats. I watched every snap of his collegiate career. I even saw him play a high school game when he was still a WR. He's a nice player but to say you'd draft him ahead of Darren McFadden is absolutely absurd.

I understand that DE is more of a priority position than RB. I completely agree with that. You can find good, serviceable RB's later in the draft and getting pressure on the QB is the most important aspect of a football team.

All that being said, there is NO comparison between McFadden and Anderson. None. McFadden was 10 times the player Anderson was in college and will likely be the same in the pros.

One is a nice player. The other is a superstar.

I remember when people said the same about Mario Williams and Reggie Bush.
