I'll get started by saying, I believe Williams is head and shoulders better than Dean but that's me. Here's a little comparison of the 2.

Williams 5'11 230 lbs

last 5 years--- 550+ tackles, 12.5 sacks, 9 ff, 1 int and has missed 5 games during this time

Dean 5'11 231 lbs

Last 4 years--- 220 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 3 ff and 1 int. Has missed 21 games during this time.

I'm hoping we sign Williams.

I hope we sign both

Williams market is projected around $9.2 million with Dean around $8.

Dean knows Parker’s scheme, is a green dot guy and a leader. The only way Williams comes to play with his brother is at a discount. He’s going to sign with someone like Tennessee who will throw the bag at him

Williams wasn't good last year, from what I've read...

Not sure how much stock anyone puts in PFF, but he was rated 76 out of 88 lbs last year (45.5 grade)

Picking btw those 2 is a dice roll to be honest. I could see us regretting both guys or saying both we steals.
Agreed.

I think Williams is more of a reached potential and may never hit that high again. Dean has way higher potential … but might never be healthy like Sean Lee

Yes Dean knows Parkers system but he's not available half the time. Williams performs, he physical, and like a post comment I made recently. Williams reminds me of Sam Mills, great LB for the Saints.

9 mil for Williams is a steal. I like production and he gives you production. I'm not sure if people making comments about Williams seen him play but if you haven't you should.

Alot of people see Williams as Quentin’s brother, I see him as a pro bowl LB that will instantly improve our defense.

If Parker believes Dean is the best chance of getting his defensive scheme implemented, then he will go with Dean. It is whoever he believes is the smartest player to captain his defense.

I’m stoked with either signing.

But from listening to the Dallas sports shows, barring some crazy offer, Dean is all but locked up here

Yeah Parkers guys is definitely winning any tie breakers.

I think both can be signed. If one can stay on the field we can have the take his place.

I'm hoping they look into Devin Bush as well. Why are we putting our eggs ONLY into Nakobe Dean?

It makes more sense that Parker would choose the guy he knows fits his system that is only 25 years old over the guy that played for other teams and is 29 and not the same player he use to be. Not that I'm against signing Quincy, but what makes more sense.

I wouldn’t mind getting both, but dont think they will. Dean has the advantage of familiarity with Parker and the D… Also is only 25 whereas QW will be 30 in August.

Wouldn’t mind Dean and the best LB at #12. Styles? Yeah baby, now we’re cooking with gas.

Putting together cumulative stats the way you did is skewed significantly in favor of the player you prefer - may not change the fact of which player is better ..but it’s a terrible comparison

It is possible that both Dean and Williams sign with teams not named the Cowboys. It’s not as if players are straining at the leash to come play for Dallas.
