do these people even evaluate the situation thoroughly before speaking, I mean, come with any sort of factual information? we got a CFL coach saying Carter's cut was performance-related, what are these guys bringing again?

Is it because he's a lousy QB? - we've had a whole slew of lousy QB's: Glen Carano, Gary Hogeboom, Steve Pelluer, Reggie Collier, Babe Laufenberg, Steve Walsh, Clint Stoerner, Ryan Leaf, Anthony Wright, Chad Hutchinson. Where's the hate for these guys?

Is it because he was drafted too high? - actually, he wasn't even the worst pick of the 2000 draft. That goes to Tony Dixon.

Is it because of his drug use? - this opens up a whole can of worms. Tons of players use and abuse drugs ... either recreational or performance enhancement. If this were the case, where's the hate for LT and Michael Irvin?

Is it his lisp? - can't blame someone for the way they talk.

Is it because he gave up on the Jets? - he gave up on the Jets, not us.

Ok, bottom line is, he was a lousy QB, with a two cent brain who doesn't except the blame for himself ... why do we hate him so much???

Because his hard core followers continue to create threads praising him, many of us would have let this whole thing die once he left Dallas but for the last 3 season we see our other QB's ripped in the name of Carter and how stupid Jones and Bill were to release him. Bottom line this last cut from the CFL is just the icing on the cake for what many of us have been saying for a good while and that is he lacks the talent to be a starting QB.

I posted a few threads back that this shouldn't even be news here. People jumped down my throat. My point was, QC has not been here in 2 seasons. He no longer is associated with Dallas, so I don't get the venom and the glory people take in NOT seeing the guy succeed. Tough break for the guy, I hope he gets it together eventually.

Excellent post! Quincy remains such a controversial figure because many folks saw him possessing talent but failing to make use of it. He has reached a "larger than life" tragic figure status. Here is a guy who had it 'all' and let it slip away. This might sound foolish but it might actaully make a riveting book if you could get to all of the facts behind his story.

Give me a break we have some consistant users like Karter who constantly come in with this BS of how Carter is so great and how Parcells screwed Dallas when he let him go. There are a few others who are about as bad at Karter is on this subject. If you don't like reading this they why constantly come to this thread telling us we should not be saying anything. I have been in many debates over Carter and his lack of talent with his followers and yes seeing a HC from the CFL stating he was cut because of his performance is icing on the cake regarding my discussion with the like of Karter.
