I'm very surprised that no one has brought this up: if Romo struggles early and seems off target does Bill put in Bledsoe to try to win the game and advance to the next round?

I'm very surprised that you didn't suggest putting Seneca Wallace in for Hasselbeck. I assumed that was the topic, from your title.

Are you guys delusional ?

Parcells would certainly put Bledsoe in if Romo has problems during the first half.

Its about strategy and trying to win the game at this point. There isnt any developmental things going on here.

Fair enough, the Dallas OL is not stellar, but they didnt even treat it as an important need after LAST season.

Regardless, I cant even think for a second that Parcells would have any concessions about making the QB switch.

if our oline somehow magically played well saturday, and Romo still struggled, with just bad decisions, i wouldn't mind seeing Bledsoe.

Dude, let it go. Your boy Bledslow is never going to see the field again in a Dallas jersey, unless they are carting Romo off the field.

Let it go dude, let it go.:starspin

Not quite. I'm not a Bledsoe fan and think Romo is the future but in a sudden death situation I don't think the scenario is outlandish if Romo starts pulling a Kurt Warner. I think Parcells probably feels that way as well although hopefully it won't happen.

If Romo was struggling, why would Parcells put a QB in a playoff game that has been riding the pine for half the season and munching on those dam sunflower seeds every freaking Sunday.

Dont you think a QB that has not played in months would be a little rusty. No thanks, I will take my chances with a struggling Romo over a rusty Bledslow any day of the week.

Besides, if Parcells pulled Romo and Bledslow threw one of his pattened picks in the zone and cost us the game, Tuna would be run out of town in a heartbeat.

Sorry buddy but I am not a fan of Bledsoe, and though it was a questionable decision to bring him in to begin with.

So he certainly isnt my boy.

I dunno. I think we're in bed with Romo and it would be a mistake to pull him for a guy that we know won't be here next year.

What if Bledsoe does come in and play half decent and win the game? Who starts the next week? You put Romo back in there and wait to see what happens? We already know the book's out on Bledsoe so I doubt he can have any sustained success this late in a season. I just think it opens up an unnecessary can of worms.

To add, I can't see Hasselbeck, Garcia, E. Manning or any other playoff quarterback being benched this week for a bad half. Manning's yet to prove himself, Garcia's technically a backup, etc -- so if I don't see them getting benched, I certainly wouldn't envision Romo being benched.

Rex Grossman might be the only guy I could possibly see it happening to. And there's been rumors of him being benched for weeks so it wouldn't really be all that surprising.
