No thanks I'll pass we have a top five QB who will play at least 4-5 yrs. Defense defense defense please and thank you.

Thanks for chiming in Jerry...................we know, "Romo has 5 more years left in him and its not a dam debate".

If dallas can't land the qb they want in this year's draft, they should try their best to trade down and acquire 2017 picks...first, seconds, thirds..get as much ammo as possible

Go into this year as is..see what happens..then go all out again next year for your qb w even more resources...maybe you have an extra first..or an extra second..or both..and go get your guy next year..

At the end of the day..the focus just needs to be on getting a qb in here

So you are saying that the next batch of QBs are better than the top two this year??? Who??

And if Romo does not go down and we are drafting in the 20s, how exactly are we going to get one of them?

I would much rather trade a single first round pick next year and swap with Cleveland this year instead of trading my whole draft and then some next year or the following year to get Romo's replacement.

Maybe that is just me.

Don't know how many times I have to say it, but you don't have to pick in top 5 to get a franchise QB.
All anyone has to do is look at all the drafts the last 10-15 years.
It would help to take one you feel is deserving usually sometime in the 1st or early 2nd preferably.
People are panicking.

Look where Dallas drafted each year in 1st round and see . If you want to throw in a 2nd or 3rd if they need to trade up to 9-10 or so,do.
In any case, you'll find more times than not, they would be fine.

Trading from 23 to 9 or whatever is a lot less than going from 4 to 2.
An identical cast is 27 up to 6....it just gets silly in the top 5.

They may end up fine, but these QBs are generally not considered super prospects by historical standards.

And if Romo does play the whole season then you'd really be happy because the 7 mil per year clipboard holder wasn't needed

In the end, as I've said all along, if Dallas loves the QB available to the level they should for where they'll be taking him, I'm okay with it.
Just PLEASE don't take one just because you're drafting early.
That is a truly horrible reason.

Looks like a weak class to me.

Where would those guys rank in this year's class?

I bet at 2-3 will be rated as high or higher that Goff or Wentz....who come in at 91 by Scouts Inc. most ratings have them in that range. But maybe there are individual teams that like them more (or less) for whatever reason.
Anyway, that's way below the truly top QBs coming out deserving of top 2 picks.

Doesn't mean one or both won't end up good. And this class is deep. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if a QB taken after rd1 ends up better than at least one of these guys, and maybe both.

At least the Rams have the table set for whichever QB they bring in.

Very strong defense
Todd Gurley and an improving line.
Nice....kind of like what Russell Wilson walked into
