this seems to be a pretty accurate measure of where most have QBs ranked.

1) Brees
2) Mahomes
3) Rivers

If that’s true look out. Jameis is 9th. I haven’t seen any Bucs games to know if that’s accurate.

Dak is 22nd. Luck is 7th.

It takes into effect things like did you pick up 5 on 2nd and 5. So it’s more than just raw yards and completion %

You are saying QBR is an accurate measure. Then you say the Jameis is top 10 in QBR. These are conflicting statements.

QBR (vs standard QB rating) is too subjective for my taste.
Most agree, as ESPN has been trying to push it on others for years and have found no takers.
It would be nice to have some sort of rating that gives at least a little credit for rushing....and subtractions for fumbles. But not QBR

I’m saying most of the list looks accurate. I haven’t watched Jameis or the Bucs to know exactly how he’s played. I know Fitz put up a lot of points.

Has anyone watched Jameis this year to know how he’s played?

QBR is overrating him, imo.
I've seen him a few times and he seems more middle of the pack.

Also, for starters, he has 14 TDs and 13 ints and is 17th in yards per game.
That should tell us at least something.

Any "all encompassing" stat that has Jameis Winston as a top 10 QB is flawed. These anomalies have consistently popped up within QBR throughout its existence which leads me to believe it is deeply flawed.

Although tradition QB rating is flawed as well, I find that the QBs at the top of that list typically pass the eye test better than those at the top of the QBR list.

It’s especially interesting because Dak was a QBR darling his first two years in the league and was the sole metric that didn’t think Dak regressed last year...

Biggest issue with QBR is they do not tell us what the metrics are they use.
I am not a fan of hidden compilations.

I think 22 for Dak this year is fair. He's probably 12-18 and had 30th level Off talent around him.
His rank is rising as Cooper got here but Sunday the OL play was very, very bad and Dak was again poor.

Im surprised that 10 QB's are worse

Well to be fair Fitzgerald has a higher QBR as well and almost as many attempts as Winston. So it was enough to qualify Fitzgerald for the rankings that would mean there are 11 worse.

Hope that helps. :(

To be fair, he didn't say that this is what "He" was saying. He said that this seems to be where most have QBs ranked. That's not the same thing necessarily.

Exactly. To me most of the list is accurate. So the question is the whole list accurate or is Jameis the outlier?

Cody Kessler threw for 57 yards Sunday and had a higher QBR than Dak.

But QBR is a dumb statistic just like most are.

Winston is a very very talented QB

His problems are immaturity
He needs a real HC and he can flourish

In the words of Charles Barkley, "turrible"
