I know ....... that is why Graphs like the one above set me off, because its implying that Dak is right there near that guy.

Hell the Bills QB choked as well ....... Diggs brother was yelling at him.
He is much lower than Mahomes. I think they made it pics at different heights so even people who struggle with graphs could see that.

Guess not.

It's not fair to not include Cooper Rush's numbers and photo.

Cowboys are a good 3rd down team and have been for a long time.

The last season we finished in the bottom half of 3rd down conversions when Dak or Romo played the whole season was 2013.

Guess not.
Even though you are a jerk ....... I love your avatar ....... I suspect a number of players on that field made business decisions seeing one of the greatest of all time (and definitely the strongest) blocking for another of the greatest of all time.

What a duo.

When will you guys learn. After 7 seasons stats don't matter. It's what have you done for me lately.

In this upcoming season Prescott could throw for 7000 yards and 60 TDs. But if they lose in the playoffs because of his turnovers, then those numbers mean nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Two ways to look at this chart...One way is to say that Dak is #4 in the league. The other way to look at it is that the difference between #1 and #4 on this list is pretty similar to #4 and the next 20 or so QBs.

I'd like to see the actual data on this chart to understand the whole picture. For example the difference between Dak and Daniel Jones seems to be roughly a 5% conversion rate or so. Dak has 101 3rd down attempts this season. 56-101 w/ 917 yards 8tds 7ints to be exact. Daniel Jones was 75-130 w/ 783 yards 3 tds 1 int.

Do with those numbers whatever you want, there are good and bad talking points for both players there, but making a chart on 3rd down conversion here is dangerous given a small sample size (roughly 100-150 attempts per qb) and less than 10% differential separating most QBs on the list means that we are really talking about just a handful of plays that separate most QBs on the list. What I'm seeing here is we have two elite QBs in the league (Mahomes/Allen), 1 second-tier player (Burrow), 3 awful QBs (Wilson, Mills, Mayfield) and everyone else all roughly within one standard deviation.

Wow! Stats like that could get us 10-12 wins a year and a possible Divisional Playoff appearance.

That's the goal...right?...or not. Sorry, I'm just not sure anymore.

Shhh...don't be showing statistically proven stats around here. It riles up the masses who can't handle the truth. They prefer simply to blame everything on you know who. It's easier that way for them.
You can't seem to handle the truth about stats - nobody gives a damn about them if they don't lead to championships.

I’d like to see this version of the chart with running conversions added.

Dak did it against teams with losing record. he did when we were behind and had to make a fake comeback. there were all these other players who made plays and made impossible catches consistently. these are fake stats. cooper rush was 4-1, it was Moore protecting Dak with all the WR screen because Dak can't pass down field.

You don’t care that Dak ranks 4th in 3rd down conversion rate compared to other nfl QBs? It’s impressive
OKI, what you didn't understand is that he doesn't care about the stats that make Dak look good compared to other QBs....if there wer stats that made Dak look bad against other QBs, then he would care. outside of that, all stats are to be measured in a silo against "expectations" of what those stats need to be in his mind.

got it?

When he's laying eggs all over the field and costing us playoff games post some stats, baby!!!!! :yourock:
weren't you upset that Jerry didn't throw more money at Dak. I was hoping he would paid enough to make him highest paid QB in the game. that was disappointing. I am sure you were upset too

Dak trolls take another dose of reality right across the nose. Poor trolls get proven dead wrong time and time again.

See the thing is ........ every time I start getting over the massive failure of an egg that Dak dropped against San Fran. One of you guys (usually with a picture of Dak as an avatar) comes along and posts a thread about how Dak is so great and one of the best in the league.

Then it sets me off again.

I like Dak and have always defended him ....... but its gonna take a while for me to decompress over a game where our Defense came to play and Dak did not.

Please forgive me.
Honestly what’s the big deal?

Did anyone else show up for our offense? Dak wasn’t the only one to lay a stink bomb.

Pollard got hurt and all we had was bad oline play, no run game and the #1 d in the nfl flooding the passing lanes.

On the road against the #1 D in the nfl with no run game and Moore calling plays?

Sorry that’s forgivable.

Now had the defense showed up last year against SF then Dak played good enough to win.

So last year the defense caved and this year the offense caved.

Dak has played on 6 playoff games. 4 he played great, one he played well enough to win and one he played horrible.

Those are the facts. Cherry pick all you want.
